APC Back-UPS Pro 1500VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector (BR1500G)

    • My APC reps answer was fantastic yet again; the warranty on the replacement unit would continue from the day that I purchased my defective APC BR1500MS (which essentially means that I lost no time on my APC 3 year manufacturer warranty)
    • Keeps up the great work, thanks APC from a customer who is subject to lightening strikes and tropical events in the neighborhood on a regular basis.
    • When I researched UPS products for this purchase I heard allot of bad APC customer service experiences
    • Genuine APC back-UPS!
    • As previously noted, the old APC UPS had no problems supporting my iMac and Apple Tech Support told me that the iMac DOES NOT need a pure sine wave UPS.Well, according to the APC Tech Support person I spoke with, their APC Back-UPS PRO line no longer supports iMac and the only APC UPS's that will work with a newer model iMac are the APC SMART line.
    • Like all APC products I have used works great and very reliable.
    • Had an APC smart UPS that kept overheating and killing the batteries, which were like $500 a pop, for the computers on my KBA comet.
    • Unfortunately, even though APC has since resolved the defect in new units being produced, there are still plenty of defective units for sale out in the wild
    • Always loved APC and they are still bangin out the best backups.
    • UPS itself works great, however APC has serious quality control issues.
    • , maybe APC is faster, maybe not, I have no idea, the device is big and heavy, no idea, didn't feel like going through the headache of RMAI grabbed a medium sized safety pin, bent the needle into a hook, fished it down into the batter pins and tugged the pin back up into positionreinserting the battery just jammed the pin again so I fished the pin back out, used the needle nose pliers to bend the pinreinserting the battery a second time showed successi removed the battery and confirmed the pin was no longer jammednow the device works finei would like to think this was a special case and this doesn't happen often
    • When the power comes back on, I turn on all the UPS units I have (4 total, including another APC one that's broken, their customer support said they'd send a replacement but never got back to me after that
    • so I trust APC after years of running APC enterprise gear like PDUs temp
    • I replaced a failing APC UPS which was about 12 years old
    • I am surprised APC puts out trash like this.
    • Either way, I still can't recommended APC to anyone.
    • The APC seemed fine.
    • APC should be ashamed for selling such a piece of garbage to its customers.
    • We'll see if APC makes good on this and sends me a new one.
    • I would not recommend this APC due to the toxic odor that it emits
    • I have mostly been disappointed with the APC technical support timeliness with responding to a critical problem.
    • I am glad to report that I either got lucky or APC fixed the issue.
    • A+ and many thanks once again APC
    • This APC back-ups pro works great, and tells me how many times a power failure or flection has accrued
    • Battery went bad after about 8 months, APC was very helpful in replacing it on warranty at no charge.
    • The APC has worked flawlessly
    • I also recommend these models with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) over the cheaper APC models.
    • I easily re-packed my defective APC UPS in the box that came with my new unit, then I slapped the free return-shipping label on the box and brought it to a FedEx drop-off location
    • I DON'T LIKE APC.
    • EXCELLENT APC BACK-UPS PRO 8 OUTLET POWER SUPPLY - WORKS GREAT!
    • As per APC Schneider Electric Support request, I sent the information about the FO4 error through the email provided
    • and I've preferred APC, but four of the last six purchased within a week display an F06 fault
    • Works as well as all other APC units at a reasonable cost.
    • even if APC didnt think my unit fell under the known-defect serial number range or build-date, they STILL would have worked with me to test the issue and exchange the UPS unit if needed, just as easily)
    • I do not experience these issues with my APC Smart-UPS (which is also much quieter!)-If the power does go out and you'd like to complete your current task, you'll probably be annoyed by the fan that kicks on when it switches to battery power
    • I broke down and purchased a decent APC to replace my older 10 yr old one
    • I am surprised APC puts out trash like this.
    • Usual top quality APC product.
    • I called the APC Technical Support line and it was a pretty quick and painless process to get a replacement battery shipped
    • UPS itself works great, however APC has serious quality control issues.
    • I have two other 90's APC units that still work and replace batteries every 2 or 3 years
    • A year and a half ago I purchased two cyberpower ups systems for two of your stations figuring that they would be just as reliable as APC units.
    • APC won't work without ground.
    • I bought this to replace a six year old (also a APC) UPS that may have died (we had a lightning strike to the power pole about 10 days
    • Like most UPS manufacturers, APC advertises its UPS units based on the current capacity (VA) rather than the power capacity (W).
    • I noticed these being used at work and my own APC 1200 was failing after 6 years of loyal service.
    • APC works where other fail.
    • Good APC purchase (as usual).
    • I got a great price for a product that I really wanted to make work for my personal-use, and I'm confident that any future issues that may arise with my replacement unit, APC will stand by me and take of the issue promptly and easily
    • I find the APC 1500 cuts in occasionally when the lights just flicker as well
    • Always trusted APC
    • and I am finding it VERY confusing on which is the proper APC OEM replacement battery to get.
    • Works great, APC is practically bullet proof.
    • The APC emitted a barely noticeable smell of outgassing plastic for the first 24 hours of operation, but now is completely odorless
    • I have found APC to be the best overall for longevity, easy of use, and protection.
    • 1000 APC pro refused to go online after swapping out the batteries
    • Love APC
    • I have been a loyal APC UPS customer for over 20 years.
    • The APC itself is nice, but plugging in batteries is a real pain in the neck.
    • Nice APC, will save you from your computer from shutting down when you don't want to and lose power.
    • The APC Pro 700 works silently to protect your devices.
    • I returned the "defective" APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 and got a new replacement.
    • APC works where other fail.
    • as usal with apc nice product
    • In a world with very bad customer service and poor follow-through from just about every manufacturer, and painful RMA /exchange processes, APC is almost Amazon-like with regards to great customer service and honoring their manufacturer warranty
    • APC made it SUPER easy, and I was able to keep my perfectly-working (although annoyingly-squeaking-defective) UPS running until my new replacement UPS arrived
    • Great as usually
    • Mine does it but it does not bother me as much as it bothers some of the reviewers.
    • A great product and it works as it should.
    • The instructions need to be improved as they seem to be disorganized.
    • Works as it should.
    • Overall I highly recommend it as I have had many of these over the years and they have never let me down.
    • The battery will still bleed even if it outside the APC but not as fast as when it is inserted in the usable position
    • You would hope that Amazon would have newer inventory of these units, or that Amazon wouldnt knowingly carry defective units, but clearly from the reviews on Amazon, it's still hit or miss as to whether or not you will order an APC BR1500MS (or BR1000MS, etc) and get one that doesn't chirp
    • My inverter just doesn't have enough power by itself or clean a/c
    • These machines also have state of art computer controls that require clean a/c current
