I like the LED display on this

The display is handy for providing information, especially the voltage and the wattage being drawn.

The LED display is great as it lets us know they are charged and ready.

To test the system, I disconnected the power, and the battery lasted for over 2 hours of use with the TV on vivid display and the sound at a fun level for watching movies with a friend

Smart displays tell you how much load and backup power you have

I've noticed that it has really good voltage regulation/correction and the display is nice.

The LED display goes off after about a minute.

In my philosophy, the more information I have the better off I am, so I love the LCD display, which lets me keep track of how much battery time I have at my current load, the voltage being output, etc

I was expecting the display to be a gimmick, but it does provide some helpful information about the current load, remaining time on battery (based current load), etc

What I noticed is the whine is slightly louder and the frequency slighly lower when you press the LCD display on - but the display automatically shuts off after 60 seconds and that whine pretty much goes away

With this model I like that one can select one's level of protection by working with the LED display panel

The easily readable front-panel display provides information about the line input voltage, the UPS output voltage, the state of battery charge, AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) status, output load (watts), estimated run time remaining at current load and number of power drop out events

The digital display helps a bit with troubleshooting over the phone when they wonder why it's beeping (because... the power is out).

Other companies are certainly improving, but when it's critical I always go with APC.

Not as bad as I first thought

The battery will still bleed even if it outside the APC but not as fast as when it is inserted in the usable position

You would hope that Amazon would have newer inventory of these units, or that Amazon wouldnt knowingly carry defective units, but clearly from the reviews on Amazon, it's still hit or miss as to whether or not you will order an APC BR1500MS (or BR1000MS, etc) and get one that doesn't chirp
