APC UPS 1350VA Sinewave UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector, APC BackUPS Pro UPS (BR1350MS)

    • But I may purchase the complementary backup battery unit that plugs into this unit to extend its capacity.
    • nice unit for the price
    • I will keep the unit but its doubtful that I will ever use it.
    • Good unit.
    • The three units I have are working flawlessly (and silently) for over one month now.
    • It is true the unit gives off a low hum when in use, recharging, and cooling, but if you leave it alone, it settles down in time and has been silent.
    • This is a great unit
    • This unit was easy to set up and worked beautifully out of the box
    • Postives -Good units worked well, no issues and reasonably quiet
    • Furthermore, CyberPower has made myself and friends PAY to ship defective units back to them in the past, while APC handles warranty returns and exchanges for free (which is critical for shipping a heavy UPS that equates to expensive shipping)
    • :I received a defective BR1500MS unit from Amazon in May 2018, but I didn't want to return the product because I got it for a great price on
    • Seems to be a great unit.
    • This unit was a bust, will have to return
    • This unit has been solid as a rock and catches the weird surges and keeps things running
    • They're nice big beefy units, with good menus and feature sets
    • He sent me a new replacement unit and a postage-paid label with which to return the failed unit
    • This is a great unit it was in several power outages and one brown out were the rely in the unit pulled in and out over 156 time in just 26 minutes
    • and I ordered a different UPS while on the phone with her and did not require the defective unit back - keeping it out the landfill, I'll be taking it to a recycling company
    • They then tried to get me to pay shipping to return the defective unit, which is ridiculous, but later sent a free UPS return label when I pointed out how unfair that was
    • The unit feels really high quality and I love the features
    • Figure out why the unit thinks the batteries have failed when they are at 83% of new capacity.
    • Sadly, I wound up with a defective unit making this annoying noise
    • The unit has worked as expected on the two occasions we've had power blips in our rural community.
    • bought 2 units both failed in 2 months
    • These units are rock solid
    • The unit itself is also very quiet
    • I saw some comments that the unit does not have surge protection
    • Disappointing because it seems like an otherwise great unit
    • These units work great.
    • In the month that the original unit was in operation (and squeaking the whole time) it weathered several power outages with no trouble
    • Despite the fact that I had to make a quick phone call to APC customer service, and (easily) ship the old defective unit back; I still experienced zero battery downtime (aside from when I had to plug-in the new replacement unit)
    • Other then that the unit seems great and the controls via Powerchute are good, could include some more functionality, but at this price point it's pretty good
    • Overall not a bad unit if you can deal with the slight noise.
    • Defective units were purchased the first week of Feb
    • Excellent unit, does a great job as a backup
    • You should be aware that these units will work great and live long as long as you do not install them in places where ambient temperature exceeds 75 degrees regularly
    • : RMA provided a working non-noisy unit and I am successfully protecting myself from surges and outtages!!
    • both units worked as I expected
    • The sound from a defective unit is an annoying low-pitch high-frequency/sonic sound that almost sounds like a small insect or tiny mouse, and the sound goes off every 4 or 5 seconds like clockwork
    • restarting the unit corrected the issue.
    • Worst-case, you might have to call APC and have them mail you a new unit, and you'll have to bring the defective unit to FedEx store or pick-up location for a free-shipment back to APC
    • Very nice unit
    • Good unit with great features
    • Unfortunately even in May 2018, the unit that I received from Amazon DID have the defect (the unit that Amazon sold me was manufactured on October 30 2017 per the APC diagnostic label that comes with every APC UPS battery that you purchase)
    • As others have indicated, this unit has a rather atrocious constant high-pitched whine that periodically (once every few seconds or so) ramps up into a louder "chirp"
    • One criticism is that the front panel doesn't stay lit like my older unit did, so I can't just glance down to see it's status (it only stays lit for 1 min and there is no setting to change that)
    • best UPS on the market, may not be the cheapest but has great features, software and support...unit has been in service for three years and still working great!
    • Best unit of several unit I have !
    • Great unit - have 5 personally & have had customers order dozens
    • The unit works as advertised
    • Wonderful unit.
    • In conclusion, I highly recommend this unit and the APC External Battery Backup Pack to anyone needing this level of protection and available run time should you lose power!
    • Unit tested fine when it arrived.
    • Purchased on September 27 and two months later unit starting beeping like crazy saying that the batteries need to be replaced
    • This is a good mid-range unit, and the display gives a decent enough range of information
    • This is an awesome unit
    • In my case, I thought that it was really funny that I got my APC BR1500MS drop-shipped to me directly from TechData (a major technology distributor), and TechData were the folks who had this defective unit sitting on their shelves still
    • These units dedinitely exceeded our expectations.
    • It's a nice little unit and a good "next version" from my previous one
    • and they have all new inventory of the BR1500MS that no longer has the defect, while some Amazon warehouses still have defective units ready for sale
    • I highly recommend this unit
    • The unit has indicated the battery has died via a battery icon with an X in it
    • He looked over the available units and picked this one for me, said it was the best and what they use at work
    • Very stable and reliable unit.
    • The unit developed a high pitch noise a day after plugging it in.
    • APC replaced the bad unit under warranty but that still involves considerable time and effort just to remove, replace, and return the bad unit when I had just gone through that exercise only one month ago.
    • The battery drained, the unit On/Off switch was unresponsive and began making a strange sound .
    • The unit I bought from Amazon worked well for about a year and then fried my PSU and wouldn't function anymore
    • I will search for a more reliable unit, but will purchase another BR1500G if a good replacement is not found.
    • Great unit
    • The new unit is working
    • Revised 8\1\2016WOW what a great unit, last night my home office took a direct hit, lightening strike
    • All other more powerful battery backup units are designed for server racks and aren't designed for residential outlets
    • When I installed it the unit threw an error and forced my PC to do a hard shutdown (luckily, nothing got fried this time), and when I contacted APC support they told me the unit didn't actually need a new battery cell and had to be replaced
    • As with all the APC products that I have purchased, this unit was easy to set up (connect battery) and sits silently awaiting a power fluxuation or outage
    • Powerful unit, well-featured.
    • I really wanted to like this unit
    • I love APC units
    • : RMA provided a working non-noisy unit and I am successfully protecting myself from surges and outtages!!
    • Great unit.. easy to set up and understand
    • I have recommended this unit to everyone I know!
    • Final diagnosis is that we were shipped a faulty unit
    • Nice little unit for home use.
    • I don't know of how much protection this BR1500G or my older unit provided in terms of spikes and clean power, but do know my equipment tends to run longer than most.
    • The unit has an alarm that goes on when the power goes off
    • The agent who helped me was great, I could reach them on the phone, and they seemed genuinely interested in getting me a replacement that solved any problems.5 stars for the unit that I now have which doesn't squeak-2 stars for having to RMA it+1 star for the manufacturer's great customer serviceIt seemed like the two units I went through that exhibited a squeak were both older
    • awsome unit works exactly as expected
    • This unit supplies well regulated A/C power to my large computer that uses a number of peripheral devices.
    • I would recommend this unit for the average gaming computer setup, or office setup to avoid disconnects and/or loss of important information.
    • The units are attractively designed as well.
    • Overall, I love this APC UPS unit
    • This unit works perfectly, but I do have one complaint
    • However, even though I read other's reviews about the chirping noise, I was hopeful that APC had replaced the defective units in stock
    • Nice unit
    • A very good UPS unit.
    • Unit not working
    • This is a great unit, I like the number of outlets and it's capabilities.
    • The unit is quiet and blends in well with my setup
    • Clearly some Amazon warehouses have either sold off or got rid of all the defective units by
    • These are excellent units and I highly recommend them
    • good unit
    • This unit has saved the day a handful of times now during power outages and storms (though typically I like to disconnect during storms all together now
    • Good unit
    • Phones and my Police Scanner...etc etc....this is a very nice unit.
    • This unit meets my needs the best.
    • nice unit - works as stated
    • I would buy this same unit over and over again, knowing that if I received a defective unit, the APC RMA exchange process would be easy
    • This unit has protected 7 events just in the past couple days.
    • Replaced with a Smart-UPS enterprise unit and the line is clean.
    • Then I put the new unit to work elsewhere.
    • Great unit.
    • Very nice unit and highly recommended.
    • Great units with plenty of reserve for our needs.
    • We've had several, and the unit worked fine (no interruption.
    • Otherwise the unit functions well and was a reasonable price.
    • Postives -Good units worked well, no issues and reasonably quiet
    • Great unit.
    • Postives -Good units worked well, no issues and reasonably quiet
    • This is a great unit to provide battery backup / power protection for my old TiVo and digital tuner
    • Awesome unit for a home office setup
    • So if you are unlucky like me to have been hit by a winter storm and are without power for days, this unit is pretty much useless at protecting your computer
    • So far I really like this unit!
    • It also helps because I can use the packaging to send the defective unit back
    • I was, after all, continuing to use the defective unit, and by the time I would get the replacement unit, I would still have almost a full 3 years of warranty coverage left
    • Unfortunately, even though APC has since resolved the defect in new units being produced, there are still plenty of defective units for sale out in the wild
    • While this particular "noise" coming from the defective UPS that I received isn't part of the quality-assurance process, the unit I received was still nonetheless safe to use and worked great until I got my replacement unit from APC
    • Things will always go wrong, and no matter who you buy from, everyone occasionally has a defective unit go out
    • I have a cheap CyberPower unit that's probably about 5 years old now
    • The unit's battery failed self - test September 25th; the return window closed on September 19th
    • BEFORE I had to send them my defective unit back
    • Great unit for the price!
    • Great backup unit.
    • this have me wondering if the initial battery pack was new or if I'm using a defective unit
    • Nice unit, easy setup, plenty of capacity for a small/home data closet (2 routers, 1 POE Switch, phone base unit)
    • but it's a slow, annoying process, just like restarting this unit.
    • Unit is excellent and has performed flawlessly
    • haha).Other than that is seems like a great unit
    • However I had no way of being sure whether or not I would receive a defective unit a 2nd or 3rd or 4th time from Amazon, and I definitely knew that Amazon wouldn't be able to control that either
    • My unit has a high pitched noise that I can hear from about 1 meter away, even with the A/C running and computer fan noise
    • However it turns out my unit will only work when turned upside down, and when i tried with the old batteries it also worked fine upside down
    • This unit has been a lifesaver for my components
    • No problems encountered and would highly recommend this unit to someone who is contemplating this as a purchase.
    • Sadly, my unit exhibits the "chirping" that others have mentioned, and whoa is it annoying as I can hear it over the fans of my desktop computer tower
    • I would buy them again any time, fantastic units and great improvement over the old ones!Amazon did gave me a call to clarify my refund issue
    • (I also had another CyberPower fail at work - not a dead battery - a failed unit).
    • This unit is also great to keep the internet and network up and running during a power outage.
    • I also installed the software that came with the unit which allows you to monitor how well the unit is doing
    • Good solid unit
    • 1 unit is almost completly silent all the time, 1 makes light audiable buzz only on battery, 3rd makes light buzz all the time
    • This unit emits a obnoxious, strong chemical smell that is a cross between ozone and burning plastic, and it pervades the room
    • This unit works great and has been a Godsend during the frequent times that we have lost power
    • My unit died after 2.5 years
    • If it really bothers you, simply set the unit to put the display into power savings mode, which turns the display off
    • This is a well designed unit and has been working silently helping keep the electronics safe and to be able to power down correctly in the event of a power outage
    • This unit has really worked out for me
    • I like the unit itself.
    • Love the software that come with it to set the parameters from your computer rather than the front buttons and will tell you if the unit is no longer working
    • Works great, this little unit has saved me a lot of grief.
    • This is a great unit.
    • The defective units that are still being sold by various sellers were supposed to be returned to APC already (from what APC customer service told me), however it is quite obvious that many resellers have not heeded APC’s request to return known-defective units back to
    • This unit does have surge protection
    • The unit seems fine, and functions as expected, so far.
    • Good unit and good price
    • The other two times it still failed the self diagnostics and the unit had to be replaced
    • The 1500VA unit worked immediately when received.
    • Seems like a solid unit, but the battery failed after a month or so, and APC gave a really hard time to get a replacement, requiring multiple downtimes for my environment to test this or that so they could possibly get out of actually having to ship out a battery
    • My voltage in the summer sometimes runs to 95 volts, the unit does not kick in and I have burned up computers as a result.........
    • A very nice unit
    • Nice backup unit, better than the older unit I had.
    • The only issue I had was that the unit reported one of the batteries had failed when I first powered it on, but a quick chat with APC
    • I ordered it and it arrived superfast (thanks Amazon). It's seems to be a very nicely designed unit.
    • Although replaced with no problem, I had two faulty units in a row
    • A year and a half ago I purchased two cyberpower ups systems for two of your stations figuring that they would be just as reliable as APC units.
    • APC ups units are the best
    • Two bad units in as many years, false reporting from the software, and a product you can't trust not to fry your equipment
    • But I would trust this unit to provide protection
    • Unit was defective and has been replaced.
    • My only worry before calling into APC customer service was that I would be treated like a normal consumer who didn't understand technology and that I would have to go through a million scripts on how to test and confirm whether or not my unit was truly defective, OR that I wouldn't be provided with the same level of superior customer service that I'm used to from APC when I’m calling in as a big business customer
    • and I didn't want to risk getting yet another defective unit and wasting time going through the exchange process (even though Amazon makes exchanges easy)
    • Nice unit.
    • You would hope that Amazon would have newer inventory of these units, or that Amazon wouldnt knowingly carry defective units, but clearly from the reviews on Amazon, it's still hit or miss as to whether or not you will order an APC BR1500MS (or BR1000MS, etc) and get one that doesn't chirp
    • This unit protects a newly built system
    • Unit I received was defective (would not charge the battery)
    • This unit is excellent protection for electronics if you live in an area that has frequent power surges or brown outs.
    • In summation, I like these APC units and even more so with the expansion unit attached to a BR1500G.
    • This unit will protect the computer equipment (it will continue go to battery backup and then back to the mains as the voltage fluctuates)
    • I liked the unit but the battery lasted only 3 months
    • Generally they are known for supplying reliable units and are known for being trustworthy as a company.
    • Works as well as all other APC units at a reasonable cost.
    • One unit arrived with something rattling around inside (didn't install, sent right back to Amazon), one unit arrived damaged
    • Power outage at the house (Storm), lost connectivity (router, etc.)...the "U" in UPS is false with this thing
    • Other companies are certainly improving, but when it's critical I always go with APC.
    • Not as bad as I first thought
    • They don' t require much power, like the Bridgeport mill and Republic Turnmaster lathe they serve
