My last UPS stopped working a couple of weeks

DO NOT use the included coax cable :/UPS works great

Other than that, the UPS is pretty silent

While this particular "noise" coming from the defective UPS that I received isn't part of the quality-assurance process, the unit I received was still nonetheless safe to use and worked great until I got my replacement unit from APC

The UPS works great and has plenty of capacity for all of the office goodies I have plugged into it.

APC made it SUPER easy, and I was able to keep my perfectly-working (although annoyingly-squeaking-defective) UPS running until my new replacement UPS arrived

My old APC 1400 had served me well over the years but when the UPS started complaining about the battery not holding any longer, I started looking around for it's replacement

Needed to replace my old, failing UPS and this fit the bill perfectly

Overloading or running UPS backups at maximum capacity will damage both the batteries and the UPS electronics over time

To go larger you have to go to the Smart-UPS line which are way more expensive than the Back-UPS line and provide features I just don't

APC makes the best UPS in my opinion and this is a very nice one for the money.

I was overjoyed to find a auxiliary battery for a modest capacity UPS by a reputable manufacturer.

I purchased this UPS to protect my home network router, switch, and Network Attached Storage (NAS)

This somehow took out my UPS but the unit still protected my server and computer

I will say that choosing a good and reliable UPS was incredibly important to me, as I’ve been having some risky behavior from transients by my house lately, and I needed to ensure that if there is a break-in or power-outage, that I have a good chance of keeping my internet and security gear up and running in-case of emergency for as long as possible

This UPS is downright silent by comparison

This UPS really works well, and saved my computer from a bad situation

My Synology NAS has no issues 'seeing' the UPS.

Had an APC smart UPS that kept overheating and killing the batteries, which were like $500 a pop, for the computers on my KBA comet.

It powers my equipment during power flickers and gives me a chance to gracefully shut stuff down during a power interruption.edit 5/27/2018 -- After just over 2 months the UPS quit working.

UPS's are great for protecting computers and cable/satellite equipment from brief and intermittent power interruptions.

If you need 1000 Watts then it looks like you will have to go with CyberPower PR1500LCD Smart App Sinewave UPS 1500VA

This UPS was easy and intuitive to install the equipment and the software on my Mac.

I have been a loyal APC UPS customer for over 20 years.

Also, it is not a pure sin wave UPS, but seeing as I just came from the Cyberpower UPS, that just blew up my previous 1000 watt Rosewill power supply, there was no alternative

APC has a three-year warranty, and replaced the UPS for free when it failed

Surely UPS must have been too rough in handling, but there wasn't any real packing material either

The run time isn't very long but the UPS was satisfactory for me in providing continuous power to protect my computer

The fan is loud, but it off as long as the UPS has outlet power--in normal operation the UPS is virtually silent, barely an audible hum and that is definitely drowned out by my computer's power supply fan (which isn't loud, but much more than the UPS)

I have owned this UPS since 2012 and love it.

Works very well as a UPS, and the AVR, cold start, and adjustable voltage sensitivity allows this UPS to function effectively on generator power.

APC is still the best UPS on the market.

All in all this seems to be a quite nice sine-wave UPS and is certainly a much more cost-effective and nicer device than those available only a few years ago.

so I decided to contact APC customer service directly to let them know that I received a defective-chirping UPS, and they took care of me 100

So not only does APC not support Apple with their software, but now, per their own statement, they don't support Apple products with anything but their most expensive SMART UPS line

The lack of non windows smart UPS software doesn't bother me, as I was able to utilize an open source program apcupsd to grep any data I need at home, thus rendering the need for APC's proprietary software

I returned the "defective" APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 and got a new replacement.

The computer equipment not protected by a NAS doesn't shut down from these voltage drops/surges, so I think the unit is a little on the sensitive side, but I'd rather have overly sensitive UPS equipment than insufficiently sensitive equipment

I have the 1500va UPS and it works perfectly.

This feature is a big improvement if you are using the UPS to protect electronic equipment that does not include a computer to shut down the system

I easily re-packed my defective APC UPS in the box that came with my new unit, then I slapped the free return-shipping label on the box and brought it to a FedEx drop-off location

Buy a new UPS and protect your equipment and data.

The UPS tracks the number of power events independent of the devices attached and you can see the voltage in and out of the unit as well as the load the devices are putting on the unit

It has been a great UPS, weathering several storms causing power gaps and the usual summer brownouts and hasn't had any issues until today, Friday, Sept. 21, 2018

My home network has 2 separate desktop installations and the UPS units insure protection and coverage.

I completed the contact form, including adding the UPS serial number and attaching a copy of the Amazon receipt to ensure they knew it still under warranty

The APC BR700G UPS seems to be working flawlessly.

So I have a non-usable UPS, that was essentially DOA, and no return mechanism in place to address the issue

You can then program your PC to automatically shut down safely when the UPS is drained to a specified level

I do not experience these issues with my APC Smart-UPS (which is also much quieter!)-If the power does go out and you'd like to complete your current task, you'll probably be annoyed by the fan that kicks on when it switches to battery power
