The 600VA UPS was purchased to give cable box a little time on power loss condition

Also, I had a power loss for about 3 hours during a thunderstorm, and the backup battery was able to handle it very well during this time with just the router plugged in!

I needed something for the home, to protect my NAS and clean up some power loss prevention concerns I had for other light power consuming devices.
