Unit works well for keeping power to modem with all the power surges and outage instances that happen in Florida.

Regardless if your box is running Windows/Linux/macOS you can install a service to check status of the battery which is useful!Would definitely recommend this unit to keep a home router or basic network equipment setup running, but not so much a desktop/home server like me if you're looking to get a good hour or more out of it

Several of the reviews I read referenced the unit making noise and a couple other complaints

because I own another brand, and had a choice of spending lots of money for special tools, that are not provided with the units, thus, it was cheaper to break up the unit, to get to the battery

I purchased Using APC Pro 1000 S a more expensive unit that works great.

Have had this unit only a few months and the internal battery has already died

it has no effect this unit is affordable

Tested when I first got the unit and it worked, now when power goes out everything connected shuts down...worthless
