Apple iPod 20 GB White (4th Generation) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • I was seriously considering purchasing a Creative Zen which had been recommended to me by several tech-smart friends of mine
    • In case you're wondering, there is an alternative; the Creative Zen Micro has a removable battery for $30
    • If you are a windows user I recommend these product before the ipod:1-Creative Zen- Great value for same amount of memory and more songs, also nice touch bar instead
    • I then selected the CREATIVE ZEN TOUCH Which had 24 HOUR BATTERY LIFE, and it was $50 cheaper.
    • I own a 40gb Creative Zen Touch, which I found online (not on Amazon though) for about £50 cheaper than a 30gb iPod
    • This comes as a huge frustration because many of my CD's are burned, so instead of using about 7 GB on music, I only use about 1 GB.If you buy the Creative Zen Touch or Dell Pocket DJ, you won't run into these Problems.
    • The Creative Zen is a great product for around $215
    • But if you want to be smart and save your hardearned money, then get the creative zen xtra
    • Our comparison will be between this IPOD and the creative Zen Xtra, which i own.1
    • The Creative Jukebox Zen is the oldest of the 3 and is owned by my 19 year old daughter.
    • Extras like FM tuner and voice recording (standard on the Creative Zen Micro) are only available as ridiculously expensive extras
    • What you're paying for is the big name plus a sleaker design, but even then my Zen looks nice enough, is perfectly easy to navigate and whilst being a bit bulkier than an iPod, one mustn't forget its still a lot smaller than a discman or a tape walkman and no bigger or heavier than an MD player
    • Although my Zen, like an iPod, has limited file compatibility, there also players with broader support in order to play file types such as .ogg or even .app
    • and design, also the popular choice by most people who haven't researched mp3 playersIf looking for a mini mp3 player:1-Zen Micro-Nice bright colors, with capability of playing wma and has a built in radio also an extra gig of storage2-Rio Carbon-Smallest sleekest design just lacking the controll of a touch bar or wheel also cheaper than the other two quality players in this area3-Ipod Mini-Same price as Zen micro with 4GB instead of 5, nice if you like metallic colors, pretty design and scroll wheel
    • Fortunately, I have 2 other MP3 players .. a Creative Zen 5 GB Micro and an iRiver 1 GB 899 flash player, both of which are outstanding and are BUTTER SMOOTH when it comes to software interfaces.
    • Our opinions are that the iPods look cool and have a great interface, but are not nearly as reliable as the Zen.
    • The iRivers is also short, and lets face it, what is more likely to brake or go wrong, the Apple iPod or Creative Zen, iRiver
    • I am going to take back my iPod and buy a Creative Zen Touch.
    • Buy a Creative Zen, it's cheaper, better quality and has alot more features
    • For looks, well iPod is head and shoulders better, both the iRiver and Creative Zen look positively ugly when next to a gleaming iPod
    • After 9 months, my Zen is still going strong, and i don't have to pay a huge fine for changing the battery.
    • I DO NOT recommend buying and Ipod, I would instead recommend the Creative Zen MP3 player, which is much more reliable and MUCH better made.
    • I'm a little late to the ipod game, having clung to my Creative Zen
    • With the creative zen xtra, they provide a case and it is way more heavy-duty than the run-of-the-mill
    • This 20GB just plays the songs, most people won't even use the 20GB space, I've got about 1500 songs on mine that adds up to nearly 13GB.I would strongly recommend the iPod over rival mp3 players such as the Creative Zen and the creatively named iRiver
    • Better to buy the Creative Zen 60GB than waste the money on this.
    • ipod 4g 20gb, Creative Zen Touch, Nomad Zen Xtra, and the ipod 4g 40gb.
    • We plan on replacing the 20GB iPod with a Creative Zen: I just wished that the Zen Vision had a 60GB hard drive.
    • A CREATIVE ZEN MICRO PLAYER!!!!!
    • I later returned my ipod, and choose the Creative Zen Touch, which is better in battery life, and it is cheaper.
    • the iriver has a sixteen hour life and the creative zen touch has a 24 hour batttery life.
    • The one, 1 downside i could find, is that the creative zen xtra is, OMFG, ABOUT A 1/4 CM THICKER AND 2
