Surprise - the TV out works only with expensive Apple cables - I bought the $50 cables they are terrible.

The feature is great when traveling by airplane, as it very compact which makes it easy to put in a carry-on bag

Battery life not completely tested yet, but seems much better than my 30g which was a couple of years old and most likely not holding a charge as well as when it was new
