• Reviews around ram (4.12 of 5)

Apple Mac mini, 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 Dual Core, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Mac OS, Silver, MGEN2LL/A (Newest Version)

    • Quite stylish as well.- 8GB is fine, I use LogiProX and Gband for mixing and recording music, and have all many other apps open at the same time no lag no problems.- I was concerned about the memory usage and even the apps that tell you you have very little ram available left aren't telling you the whole story
    • First Off, Yes: This model does not have interchangeable ram, and can only support one single HDD or SSD.this model truly is the best and worst of both worlds
    • my research is you can have one or two small apps open and your RAM is being completely used, well as I read, if its there it will be used, and its a constant switch, so don't worry if it says you have a little left, it will cycle it as it is needed.like righ

    • User upgradable RAM, HDD, and external GPU support could have made this a much longer lasting machine.
    • There's no longer a quad core option and there's no longer user-upgradeable RAM.
    • Now I will stuff it with 16GB of good quality RAM and it should run like a champ for several years
    • Doesn't compare to the iMac: very slow, have to plug external monitors which is more buggy than an integrated system (i.e. iMac), RAM isn't upgradable, and you can only use below 4K resolution at 60Hz, otherwise the image is "lagging" / annoying to use
    • This Mac mini has non-upgradable RAM, so think twice.
    • I really wish the ram had been upgradable
    • One thing that I read on criticisms of this current model is no upgradeable RAM
    • I would give 5 stars if the RAM was upgradable
    • I'm finding it hard to imagine with half the performance, and likely less RAM (apple RAM prices
    • The Un-upgradable RAM is a bane
    • I think they had a great opportunity to really make the Mac Mini shine with quad core options and user upgradeable RAM and they let it slip away.
    • Wish the computer was upgradable ram that's the only down fall
    • The Un-upgradable RAM is a bane
    • but I'm still confused as to what happened there.
    • Everything worked as it is intended
    • Everything works as it should, solid and fast
