The thing is quiet, and it is wonderful to finally have a design that fits on the desk and doesn't cover the delicate boards in dust, but rather sucks air through a tube in the middle
, how could Apple fit so much power under this small tin can!!. Funny that i got compliments around the place that this thing looks like a luxurious trash can hahaha yes it is a compliment, no one would understand what this thing really is!?
All told, the Mac Pro is a compact little thing, standing 9.9 inches tall and measuring 6.6 inches in diameter

(I still wouldn't recommend that the average person replace the GPU himself, but then again, the Mac Pro isn't exactly for the average consumer in the first place.)Speaking of thermal performance -- this is the thermal core, after all -- Apple designed a cooling system whereby air is sucked in at the base of the machine, and gets pushed out of that large hole in the top
The idea, of course, is for the blades to effectively cool the system, but also to make less noise in the process

I have upgraded the ram too, that's what I like about Mac Pros' over Imacs as it's way easier to upgrade.
Unlike the previous Mac Pros, the new one fits comfortably on a desk, simplifying access to all those cables

Apple recommended 3 different times to replace graphics cards, none of which fixed the issue.
Already, we've seen some commentary on the internet criticizing Apple for being stingy, but keep in mind that many of the folks buying this might well be businesses that already have keyboards and mice lying around, so they might not actually be missing these accessories as much as you think they are
C'mon Apple, would it kill you to add another $5 SSD connector on the other GPU?
To give you some perspective, the Pro stands around half as tall as a 27-inch monitor, like Apple's own Cinema Display, and has roughly the same footprint as an office phone
Also don't bother calling apple to ask their tech support what web cam to buy

I personally felt the design of the computer is great
I love this design, most aspects of it anyway, but it has its challenges
Then as I was designing the cover art for the mix, it crashed on me again after 45 minutes of working on the project in Photoshop, forcing me to re-do that from scratch as well
Again, it's a cool design but as the first of its line it needs some major fixes before it becomes the compact

It has a very well-known GPU problem, which Apple refuses to acknowledge or even address
GPU is great for running multiple 4K displays
I really, really wish they'd put 6 or 8 cores the entry level model and saved the futuristic GPU for the high end models, but they didn't.
