The idea is pretty good, hooks into dashboard vents making it a good base easy for the GPS.The problem is it doesn't stay in the vent, easy for it to pop out
-
This was a good idea, but for my vehicle it's too heavy, and placing it in the vent only causes it to droop down, making it unusable.
-
This is a great idea and would work fine if it fit in my air conditioning vent
-
great idea
-
I thought this was a great idea
-
Great idea.
-
totally a waste of money with this great idea.
-
It's a great idea and would be a great product if it really WORKED
-
I hated the idea of sticking my gps to the windshield and the bean bag-dashboard holder was huge clunky and ugly device that did NOT suit me at all.
-
It is a good idea to mount your GPS somewhere besides the windshield
-
Nice idea but obvious doesn't work in all cars.
-
This is a neat idea, but it will all depend on the details of your vents.
-
This was a great idea, but the plastic clips are too small and one of them broke almost immediately.
-
The mount is a terrific idea in that the crooks who look for suction cup rings on the windshield don't break into your car.
-
Great idea just not good quality.
-
When I first got this, I thought it was such a great idea.
-
Great idea just need more work to assure the clamp will maintain grip.
-
Good idea
-
Great idea but poor engineering, does not work as described.
-
Good idea, but it does not hold well on a PT Cruiser''s vents they are round and fairly longer then regular vents, are there longer
-
Nice idea but obvious doesn't work in all cars.
-
Good basic idea
-
Great idea to mount in air vent and get the GPS off windshield to avoid blocking your view
-
Not sure if this is a material choice, design, or manufacturing error but the mount is a great idea if they could make it last.
-
The vent holder is a great idea, but it needs to be made of something other than a cheap plastic that breaks easily.
-
It looked like a great idea in the ad.
-
Nice idea, but not for use as advertised with anything but a Nuvi GPS
-
Great idea
-
I think it's a decent idea and worth it to try.
-
Great idea but needs work!
-
It's a nice idea for states such as California who forbid you to use windshield mounts, and especially for my car (a Mazda CX-7) which windshield is too far from the reach of the driver
-
Good idea but poorly engineered and cheaply made
-
However, after a month, the clip arms began to lose their grip (after a really hot day - it might be a good idea to remove the unit from the dash on really hot days)
-
Not even close to fitting my 2007 Dodge Quad cab it seem to be a good idea and i am sure it works in other cars/
-
Great idea, but the weight of the Garmin makes the whole thing drop off when touched.
-
Love the idea of no spring that can pop out and go down your car vent but the solid clip broke and went down the car vent!
-
You would have to remove it each time unless you wanted to keep the GPS mounted and visible to people walking by outside the car, not a good idea.
-
Great idea but needs to be taken a bit further with metal vent clips.
-
My bright idea was to clip the whole thing to the pulled out ashtray.
-
The mount has a lifetime warranty and Arkon has an easy way to order the replacement clips (see comment from Aaron at Arkon below as well as in the question section)
