Nice idea but obvious doesn't work in all cars.

I hated the idea of sticking my gps to the windshield and the bean bag-dashboard holder was huge clunky and ugly device that did NOT suit me at all.

It is well designed and so convenient once you get the hang of attaching it to the A/C vent louvres, which was difficult at first attempt.

The disk is also a good option if you can find a good place to mount it.

I like this item because:-it lets me mount the GPS in a place that doesnt take windshield space-it looks better this way.-with this, my gps is transferrable to other cars just as easy because every car i use has a/c vents.-it appears and so hard has held up as if its made of some tougher ABS-like plastic.-as long as you place it's clips correctly, you will have very little problems keeping it grounded to the vent.-the 2 clips on the upper end have adjustable placement for various vents.-on never cars, like my 09 escape, the a/c vent shades are a little thicker and this unit stays gripped on the vent shades very well.-this item is very cheap to buy.-places the GPS out of sight of people outside your car when your driving, depending on how the a/c vents on your car are located.-the GPS angle is still adjustable with these a/c mounts

The product work as advertised, no problems, slips on and off the air vent with no problems and holds the device great.

I needed a vent-mount for my new Garmin GPS, as I don't like windshield mounts which restrict my view of traffic

This works like a champ, keeps the GPS in front of you, and not on the dash obstructing your view.

This vent mount makes for easy instalation of my gps as not to obstruct my view out my windscreen

I like these though because it keeps the GPS at easy viewing height without crowding the windshield.

It works well and keeps my Garmin at a good viewing angle but does not block my vision of the road.

Be careful when you move your sunscreen, it may knock the thing off, but it's quite easy to remount it

For the money this was the best thing I could've bought to hold my GPS (especially since I hate to have it on the window or on the dash).

Only thing, it is a bit loose since the bottom does not "secure" to anything, it just rests and the weight of GPS keeps it

Not as adjustable as I wanted, but a good price for the mount

The price was right to give this product a try for my Volvo XC90.

Price is cheap enough though to try for yourself and maybe have better luck.

I bought a new SUV and a windshield mount is no longer a good location for my GPS

It places my GPS in a perfect location and distance to access without having to reach.

Simple installation and provides an ideal location for my GPS

The center vent of my Subaru Forester (both 05 and 2012) provides a perfect location for my Garmin Nuvi 255W GPS, easily viewed by driver and passenger.

Great mount fits perfect to the GPS but it tends to come of the vent when you manipulate the GPS, otherwise it stays on

This item doesn't work very well in our 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe vent system.

On balance though (if you wish to reliably be able to view the navigator), this is a great item.

Far too small it will never support the weight of this unit

It is not strong enough to support the weight of the Garmin with it jiggling around asI drive.

The weight of the unit causes it to not work with the vents in my Kia Sportage or my Ford F-250.

The vent mount is a bit too cumbersome to attach and detach from the vent as well as the actual GPS.

I've owned it and used it frequently for about 2 years, so it'll hold up - you just have to be very careful not to break the vents, and adjusting is a bit tricky, as you have both the ball mount and vent slats as moving variables

In my opinion it works a bit better on smaller GPS as the wide screen units tend to be a bit heavier

This unit fits a bit loose on the vent but once the weight of the 4.3 inch garmin is on there it stays in place just fine.

It is a little bit tricky to remove this device from the vent

The only problem I encountered was the vent clips fit a little to tight in the in the mount itself

You have to manually depress the clips to hook them to your vent and then depress them again to remove the unit.

Fits well - the vent clips loosen after a while from the heater and weight of the GPS but two small zip ties remedy that issue.

Cheap short plastic clips can barely hold the gps units weight

this is the second plastic car vent mount device I have tried.

(Garmin 205w)also it comes in a clear plastic bag no instructions,

As long and the road is smooth (like most highways) it stays in place and holds the Garmin just fine, but on bumpy roads or roads with lots of curves it moves and doesn't hold on to the vent well.

It moves a little on rough roads as a result of the added weight on the vent but it doesn't fall off under the seat

The hardest part was squeezing the clips to get it over the vent slats and, frankly, I suspect my Mom could have done

Both cars have horizontal vent louvers as required by Arkon.

There's some indication you can damage the vent louvers if not careful
