Finally, the perfect dashboard mount for my GPS, although I am sure it would hold other items as well

The holder is secure and keeps the GPS locked on with no slipping or slidding.

Nice looking and very practical holder, I am going to get another one for my truck.

I have not used its adhesive plate at the bottom (that appears single use) as I travel a lot and hence use different cars; despite this, the holder is very stable.

The only reason I give it a 4 is because it can be a bit cumbersome inserting the gps with the tension

It works great for a cell phone mount but does not work as a GPS mount because the charging cable interferes

The original mount would fall off the windshield on hot sunny days.

This mount is much more compact, holds the GPS very well and no more suction cup !!!

I think the proper application of some Command Strips on the bottom of the beanbag will offer more adhesive surface than the small sticky strip that comes built into the beanbag.

(I have a dash cover which precluded using the sticky strip).I will continue to search for an adequate display.

The weak adhesive strip didn't adhere to my car's lightly textured leather dash, but that was easily remedied with some hardware removable adhesive
