Friction mount is well made and has decent weight and base is very grippy and is not sticky at all.

The overall craftsmanship is excellent, the base has a good weight to it, and I expect zero issues in the future.

It has a heavy enough weight to it that it stays put on dash with no problem.

The friction mount may not be perfect but it does a very good job for a difficult mount situation.

Since there is no suction cup bottom, this mount does a better job in being flexibke with where I place it on the dashboard.

The materials are good quality and it seems to be very durable but it is useless to me.

You can tell taking it out of the box that this is a nice, quality piece of equipment for your navigation device

I very carefully made sure my particular Garmin model was on the list of compatible devices but the device's ball didn't fit the GPS's socket...too loose so it just flopped.

Who wants to stick your GPS device on the windshield and have it fall off and break your device?

This thing slides around my dash like a slab of butter in a hot cast iron skillet.

This mount is so much better, I can see it better, adjust it better....and the best thing I can hid it on the floor without disconnecting it....more security that way

I bought this to replace a similar friction mount for my Garmin nüvi 1350LMT 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator.

The old suction mount would lose its grip after a while, and especially with large temperature changes (Heater in the winter etc).

Great grip and my gps stays in place!

Friction fit on top of the dash is fine, and you can mold the base a little bit for a better grip.

The problem with windshield mounts today and 20 yrs ago is if they have any dust or dirt on the rubber suction area they will lose their suction grip

Also the ball mount is loose that the screen droops down to the point you have a hard time seeing it

I didn’t want a sticky suction cup on either mpg dashboard or my windshield and this friction mount is the perfect compromise.

On very rough roads, I had it move a little, but not suddenly, I just pushed it back in place

even hitting some of the rough roads in Omaha, it barely moved.

Hold gps very well, but tends to shake a little on bumpy roads
