Love the location.
-
Love the placement on the vent - very handy location, but plastic adjustable arms stretched apart over time

The GN047 Swivel Air Vent Mount is great for two reasons: It places the Garmin 2455LMT in a better location for viewing, and it obsoletes the suction cup
-
I'm not sure which location is safer in a collision, and I haven't tried to remove it.
-
Also on the vent location it does not block your vision, but is still easy to glance at for directions.
-
The two clips are too flimsy to hold, and by the time to get those clips in correct locations, it was shaking and moved during the driving.
-
It does hold the 2460 quite firmly in a nice location where its easy to view and use.
-
The location is perfect in my vehicle, putting the screen close to where a built in navigation system would be.
-
In the end, I would still buy this vent mount again because for my vehicle it is the best location for the

The vent location and vent design, which none of us can control, allows a secure installation in my case

The center vent of my Subaru Forester (both 05 and 2012) provides a perfect location for my Garmin Nuvi 255W GPS, easily viewed by driver and passenger.

-
Very secure and keeps vent clear, GPS in a good location, and out of sight from passers by.
-
It mounts easily in the vent to the right of the steering wheel, a perfect location.
-
I prefer the location this puts the GPS at, compared to other options like windshield/dashboard mounts, and I don't want to mess with suction cups.
-
It places my nuvi in a much more convenient location out of the windshield and out of line of vision.
-
This little device holds my gps firm in a great location and the cord does not hang down from the windshield.
-
The location also makes it easy to connect to the aux jack and charger in the car

It is also in the perfect location for viewing the

Love the placement on the vent - very handy location, but plastic adjustable arms stretched apart over time
-
As an additional benifit, I was able to mount the GPS in a more ideal location nearer me and my display console than the bean-bag or air-vent would have allowed
-
It places my GPS in a perfect location and distance to access without having to reach.
-
Simple installation and provides an ideal location for my GPS
-
I bought a new SUV and a windshield mount is no longer a good location for my GPS
-
It does the job when you clip it to A/C vent and its cheap.
-
It is well designed and so convenient once you get the hang of attaching it to the A/C vent louvres, which was difficult at first attempt.

I like this item because:-it lets me mount the GPS in a place that doesnt take windshield space-it looks better this way.-with this, my gps is transferrable to other cars just as easy because every car i use has a/c vents.-it appears and so hard has held up as if its made of some tougher ABS-like plastic.-as long as you place it's clips correctly, you will have very little problems keeping it grounded to the vent.-the 2 clips on the upper end have adjustable placement for various vents.-on never cars, like my 09 escape, the a/c vent shades are a little thicker and this unit stays gripped on the vent shades very well.-this item is very cheap to buy.-places the GPS out of sight of people outside your car when your driving, depending on how the a/c vents on your car are located.-the GPS angle is still adjustable with these a/c mounts

The mount has a lifetime warranty and Arkon has an easy way to order the replacement clips (see comment from Aaron at Arkon below as well as in the question section)
