With the NetGEAR, I hit record and it loses connection 20 to 30 seconds in and stops recording EVERY TIME!

They only record motion and they suck at detecting motion

The recording of people once the cameras are activated from movement is useless 50% of the time

For this use case I was attracted to the Arlo system because it was Battery Powered, had motion detection, night vision, 7 days of free recording, and had push notifications

Unfortunately the recording is terrible and always misses the movement.

The recording lag, the inability to only record when motion is present and a functionally stunted app will be my reasons for returning this system.

Generally, the recording will start late, well after the something has moved in view of the camera
