Took around 15 minutes with tech support to make sure unit was defective.

The Arris modem may prove to be a good unit, but their customer service is horrible

Much more concerning is the fact that until the unit stopped working, I never looked closely enough at the item upon receipt to realize I was not shipped the correct unit!

So far I can recommend this unit, and if not this one, just get something and quit throwing good money after bad to these cable companies.

After activation and set up, my WiFi showed immediate improvement over my dead unit and over the Spectrum router.

This unit is faster and much more stable than the Comcast rentals which I had to reboot often and they took forever to come up on the system.

The problem wasn't the unit, it was due to a splitter being used in my whole home wiring control panel.

We have replaced this unit with a Netgear CM 500 and it works faster than the SB6183 without any stinky smells!!My two cents!
