Outside of the functionality of it, the dual pre is compact and ruggedly built, with great controls and just the right amount of connections and options

So maybe I feel it's a 3-star for people who wanted reliability and good gain control

It has the 1/4" or XLR combo inputs, signal and clip indicators, and gain controls on the front
