I like testing various mics to squeeze out the crispest sound on Ssb

Astatic Mics have had a long reputation since the 1930's.

They are good mics,but like all of them you need to spray them with electrical contact cleaner from time to time

I am removing a star because it seems these mics aren't consistently good (and because of the cheaper feel of the PTT button).

These are great little mics if you have your standard 4watt radio

I have the old version (got it in the 90's), back when the the RK56 mics were still awesome.
