its soft i use these for my xbox and you don't really meed to buy a mix amp if you want to use it for your xbox one just buy the mic

I can't express enough how much I love this headset and highly recommend it to anyone who games for long sessions, b/c the sound quality is great and the pillowy earmuffs on the old headset were still as comfortable after 6+ years as the new one I just got last month
