    • Coverage in our two story home has been great

    • I can now get great coverage in my detached garage or anywhere on my two acre plot
    • Went outside to my detached garage and still acquired great coverage
    • But this thing's coverage is insane

    • Good coverage, expensive
    • This router replaced a Apple Airport Extreme and has much better coverage range than I hoped for.
    • Excellent coverage and performance.
    • They are extremely easy to setup and offer great coverage and excellent speeds

    • The wireless capability provides coverage throughout our two story house.
    • No reliability problems, coverage is amazing, and its loaded with lots of useful and neat features
    • I thought with as many good reviews and my previous good experience with ASUS products that this would help improve our wireless coverage with over 20 wireless devices in our household.
    • Wireless coverages is excellent.
    • The coverage is great when it works, no issues.
    • The Asus AC2900 is almost as fast, excellent coverage
    • Provides great coverage throughout the home, no dropped signals and super fast.
    • Having said that, I ended up not needing a Mesh as this router by itself has great coverage for my home.
    • Initially I was pretty happy with the router (signal was reliable, speed was consistent, good coverage throughout the home, etc.).However, after upgrading to Windows 10, I'm unable to use my VPN connection to access my work network
    • (and I seem to be on a never-ending quest for better coverage) but it’s giant honking gorilla of a thing.

    • This router solved those and we now have great coverage outside.
    • The coverage is great when it works, no issues.
    • Great coverage across my house and beyond
    • It also claimed a 5000sq feet coverage radius, but I got no better coverage than my cheap carrier provided wireless router
    • It has great range, great coverage through walls, great interface online, great support, great heat dispersion, great bandwidth retention... but I have then bought a Ethernet cable and only used this box for my phone ever since.
    • No reliability problems, coverage is amazing, and its loaded with lots of useful and neat features
    • If you want the most powerful WiFi coverage get this.
    • Anyhow, the farther coverage sounds great and should be a slam dunk for my house which is 1/2 the quoted square footage.
    • If you want a great router with exceptionally long, CONSISTENT coverage and can afford it, pick this up.
    • Have good coverage on the 5 gig channel over our entire 2 acre property, even inside out buildings.
    • Greatly improved my wifi coverage over my old unit I've have for almost 15 years
    • It has great range, great coverage through walls, great interface online, great support, great heat dispersion, great bandwidth retention... but I have then bought a Ethernet cable and only used this box for my phone ever since.
    • Good coverage for a 3000 sf two story house; even at 5GB
    • Very frustrating as I'm technology literate and have used an earlier model with similar firmware.
    • They will not give you a refund for the unit and will continue to send you a refurbished unit that is very likely to break as it seems these are hit or miss on hardware issues
    • Works as it is supposed to
    • The downside is that file transfers for my laptop to my multi homed NAS box (an 8 by Synology with network teaming) isn't as fast as with the Google OnHub that I pulled out to test this.
    • Using the smart connect rules, I was able to get the router to stabilize as long as I kept everything from connecting to the 5Ghz-1 (Lower) channel.
    • QoS and bandwidth manager works as it should
    • I'm really bummed as I was excited about this router and have had nothing but good things to say about ASUS from my experience with my old router
    • I asked for a warranty replacement instead because I have no other router, but they have to escalate it up and get it approved as that is not standard procedure
    • I've had high hopes of one day it may just start working as it should considering what I've paid for it
    • We have multiple clients attached, our labtop can finally work as it was designed
    • The 2.4G covered most of my house and the 5G covered much of it as well.
    • Love the features and the strong 2.4G signal
    • Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal but with media servers, TVs, AV receivers, security cameras, etc... relying on a stable 5g network, it's completely unacceptable
    • The 5G network worked only for 30 days but since then, it has not work
    • 5G was working for me for a few
    • First the 5G failed, then the 2.4 the next day.
    • The 2.4G works
    • I have tried firmware upgrades, read all of the forums, worked with Asus support and cannot get the 2.4g band to work.
    • 2.4G worked fine
    • Just like all the others 2g works fine
    • The 5G network worked only for 30 days but since then, it has not work
    • The 5g is fine.
    • Like the rest who are advanced users of networking equipment no matter what I've tried (thermal, firmware, bandwidth, location, control channel, etc) the 5g continues to drop while the 2g is rock solid
    • ac3100’s 5g network was gone and 2.4g became super slow, < 6Mbps down
    • However, yesterday the 5G radio failed so it's
    • Like a lot of other users - the 2.4G radio failed early
    • The 2G signal strength is amazing even with my metal roof, the 5G works great indoors but not so great a few feet outside.
    • I'm sure the tester turned it on and saw the 5g worked fine and then boxed it up and sent it back vs. reading what I had wrote and properly tested it for a straight period of over 4 hours
    • The 2G signal strength is amazing even with my metal roof, the 5G works great indoors but not so great a few feet outside.
    • Like a lot of other users - the 2.4G radio failed early
    • Got this router months ago after reading so many good things abt it, the signal really goes far way, control dashboard has so many functions, HOWEVER 5G band is very very unstable, it keeps playing on/ off line every hour, so if you are looking for a rock stable 5G band go for Netgear or Cisco.
