    • Great Range and speed
    • If I had it to do over again, I would probably not buy this product as I am sure there are other products out there in this price range that would support a wider range of IPv6 functionality as well as SNMP (seriously, a router that cannot be inspected by SNMP - what's the point).
    • Awesome well worth the money great range very easy to setup
    • Lost WIFI numerous times, had to reboot system multiple times, range is horrible and had issues trying to connect an extender
    • I really didn't need anything more than I had in that other router (which was 8 years old), but was kind of hoping that this one would produce better range.
    • Incredible range
    • Limited range was also an issue (it had an internal antenna). We also have gone from casual web browsing with a 1 or 2 devices, to having 4 wifi security cams, 2 smart switches, 2 Amazon Echos, an Ooma(VOIP), cell phones, and several streaming devices

    • Great range
    • Great range
    • Excellent range when placed in a high location, not basement.
    • The TP Link on the other hand retains fairly consistent speeds as long as you see signal strength, and the signal does seem to have better range.
    • The wireless range doesn’t seem much improved over what I had with the 66U, especially on the second story
    • Dual band, excellent range and with the Marlin firmware the router in awesome
    • Since I have this router all my devices -10 between computers, mobiles, tablets and TV- work at full speed (240 mb/s) and the range is far greater that it was before (more than 10 meter, two brick walls in between with no problem).I'm very happy with the router and would highly recomend it

    • Works great and has great range
    • Excellent range, strong 5 gig signal.
    • Range seems good so far
    • I bought this router (RT-AC88U) to replace an Asus RT-AC68U. Main reasons were to get greater signal range and stronger connection for WiFi calling on my cell phone

    • I love that there are 8 ethernet ports in the back and the range is fantastic
    • Just prior to this purchase, I had purchased an Eero mesh network system (comes with main unit and two beacons), which worked good as far as range and signal strength.
    • 8 Ethernet LAN ports, add up to 6 guests, great security, dual band, great range, this thing is awesome.
    • Easy setup, good range, and works seamlessly with all of my devices including an older Roomba that only supports 2.4 GHz
    • It has great range, great coverage through walls, great interface online, great support, great heat dispersion, great bandwidth retention... but I have then bought a Ethernet cable and only used this box for my phone ever since.
    • Very frustrating as I'm technology literate and have used an earlier model with similar firmware.
    • They will not give you a refund for the unit and will continue to send you a refurbished unit that is very likely to break as it seems these are hit or miss on hardware issues
    • Works as it is supposed to
    • The downside is that file transfers for my laptop to my multi homed NAS box (an 8 by Synology with network teaming) isn't as fast as with the Google OnHub that I pulled out to test this.
    • Using the smart connect rules, I was able to get the router to stabilize as long as I kept everything from connecting to the 5Ghz-1 (Lower) channel.
    • QoS and bandwidth manager works as it should
    • I'm really bummed as I was excited about this router and have had nothing but good things to say about ASUS from my experience with my old router
    • I asked for a warranty replacement instead because I have no other router, but they have to escalate it up and get it approved as that is not standard procedure
    • I've had high hopes of one day it may just start working as it should considering what I've paid for it
    • We have multiple clients attached, our labtop can finally work as it was designed
    • The 2.4G covered most of my house and the 5G covered much of it as well.
    • Love the features and the strong 2.4G signal
    • Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal but with media servers, TVs, AV receivers, security cameras, etc... relying on a stable 5g network, it's completely unacceptable
    • The 5G network worked only for 30 days but since then, it has not work
    • 5G was working for me for a few
    • First the 5G failed, then the 2.4 the next day.
    • The 2.4G works
    • I have tried firmware upgrades, read all of the forums, worked with Asus support and cannot get the 2.4g band to work.
    • 2.4G worked fine
    • Just like all the others 2g works fine
    • The 5G network worked only for 30 days but since then, it has not work
    • The 5g is fine.
    • Like the rest who are advanced users of networking equipment no matter what I've tried (thermal, firmware, bandwidth, location, control channel, etc) the 5g continues to drop while the 2g is rock solid
    • ac3100’s 5g network was gone and 2.4g became super slow, < 6Mbps down
    • However, yesterday the 5G radio failed so it's
    • Like a lot of other users - the 2.4G radio failed early
    • The 2G signal strength is amazing even with my metal roof, the 5G works great indoors but not so great a few feet outside.
    • I'm sure the tester turned it on and saw the 5g worked fine and then boxed it up and sent it back vs. reading what I had wrote and properly tested it for a straight period of over 4 hours
    • The 2G signal strength is amazing even with my metal roof, the 5G works great indoors but not so great a few feet outside.
    • Like a lot of other users - the 2.4G radio failed early
    • Got this router months ago after reading so many good things abt it, the signal really goes far way, control dashboard has so many functions, HOWEVER 5G band is very very unstable, it keeps playing on/ off line every hour, so if you are looking for a rock stable 5G band go for Netgear or Cisco.
