The only thing is that my monitor was shipped with a few dead pixels on the bottom left corner

I noticed it the other day and according to ASUS warranty it doesn't meet the minimum standard for LCD repair or replacement (3-5 dark pixels to merit repair/replacement in the first 12 months)

And quality is excellent with not a single bright or dead pixel.

If you are going to get a magnifying glass out and look for an odd dead or stuck pixel, you might find one or several on this monitor.
