If you love gaming of any kind, but especially FPS, this monitor will take your experience to the next level
I'd recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a great viewing experience
This was my first ASUS monitor and the experience was enough of a hassle to convince me to avoid the brand for now rather than exchange for a new unit
I thought buying an IPS monitor would mean a consistent viewing experience from all parts of the screen, but the corners fade a bit from a central head location
Playing racing games on these screens is quite the experience as well.
Great colors no ghosting that i can see with its 5ms panel
The thin bezel on it and physical looks are awesome, the colors are way better than the tn panel next to it, but its just not sharp and crisp
Bright colors look nice, but once you bring a moderately-dark image to the screen, the yellow and blue bleed around all the edges of the screen distort the colors greatly
I would highly recommend this monitor to any photographer who is looking for a monitor with a great picture and great colors!!!!
The picture quality is great, with a nice contrast ratio and nice colors
Have been heavily preoccupied and unable to process return within window but of the two - one will emit a loud noise (like deep crumpling or a succession of pops) and lose picture (black screen) 2-3 times an hour without apparent trend
Honestly even on Overwatch and TF2 the screen looks beautiful
What I liked about this product: Love the bevel/edge - makes it look very high tech, great clear screen
The ASUS PB258Q met all my needs: large, clear, sharp and bright screen
It would be really easy for someone to really screw up and either press too hard and damage the screen or start to lift the monitor back into position and lose the screen
Have been heavily preoccupied and unable to process return within window but of the two - one will emit a loud noise (like deep crumpling or a succession of pops) and lose picture (black screen) 2-3 times an hour without apparent trend
However, the monitor will occasionally make a loud popping noise and the picture will flicker and distort for about half second or so
I had to exchange one because it would make a loud popping noise and cut out for a 1/2 second every once in a while
Also makes a terrible crackling and static noises when somebody bumps the monitor

First time I ordered this monitor and returned it immediately because of Backlight Bleeding on screen (see pictures).Second time I've got the same monitor (replacement) with less but same problem (mostly visible on top of the screen).I don't know if that is because of bad QC or my bad luck, but I'm going to return
Now I'd chalk this up to bad luck, but Amazon was already nice enough to replace the monitor once and the new one started doing it again within 2 weeks
Sure, luck of the draw can be bad sometimes, but really, it took 3 monitors to get it right

When I'm not watching a movie with black bars, the backlight bleed is effectively a non-issue
The bottom has the controlls and a little more width -- a non issue
so it's really a non issue
