First monitor I received had a what looked like a hair in-between the panel and the "glass", second monitor had dead pixels.

Now after about two months of using there are multiple (around 5 spots) of dead (gray) pixels

Update 9/24/15My replacement monitor also has dead pixels.

Monitor looks great, but if you are bothered by dead pixels be prepared for a long, tedious journey of receiving and sending back this monitor

We this a default setting of the Vivid Pixel setting.

Also, replace the DP cable; it is garbage and introduced slow pixel change after closing applications and windows which would persist on the screen for a few seconds.

Despite all the positive reviews, I was very concerned I might get a monitor with dead or stuck pixels

By ISO 13406-2 standards, ASUS conforms to the acceptance level between 3 to 5 defective bright/dark pixels

Dead pixels are a deal breaker for me

So I sent it back to ASUS for a second time, and they sent me a new monitor that had clusters of dead pixels on the screen, so I sent it back to ASUS a third time, and after two weeks they send me an email saying they have a part shortage and no estimate for the repair.

Purchased this monitor in July, and up until this morning it's been a great monitor - no dead pixels, backlight bleed is at a very minimum, picture is great, etc; however, the display port stopped working.

I found one dead pixel and it really is hard to find most of the time

I was worried about reports of backlight bleed-through, missing pixels and hiss from the onboard speakers
