Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 AX11000 Tri-Band 10 Gigabit WiFi Router, Aiprotection Lifetime Security by Trend Micro, Aimesh Compatible for Mesh WIFI System, Next-Gen Wifi 6, Wireless 802.11Ax, 4x Giga

    • I hard booted the device, and even manually re-adding the device connections it was not holding stable connections
    • boosting features tanked all connections that would test all they way down 7MB per devices
    • Some didn't connect at all and some had intermittent connections
    • I had zero downtime or lost connections in my old setup, I bought the Rapture primarily so I could extend my network around house and yard, and perhaps have small speed benefit
    • I contacted customer support thinking it would be something to do with the setup and the level one support walked me through the standard trouble shooting and recommended setup and they worsen the connection from the default factory settings
    • If you read the product description it does not support most wireless connections.
    • This was purchased because I had over 50 devices connected to my old router and many of these devices were loosing connection randomly
    • 4 stars since the connection for my PC is somewhat sucking
    • I had a very poor internet connection before buying and always thought it was my provider, and while it is true my service is still slow, it is now a very stable connection with no lag
    • Sometime in the middle of the night, the connection broke.
    • However this thing constantly loses connections
    • I have 12 security cameras streaming through this and never lost a connection to any of the cameras.
    • The part that is NOT clear is that the other 5GHz band, the one you can actually connect your devices to, is only N and AC, not AX.Again, this unit is decent, but I was wanting it so I could utilize the AX connection on my devices
    • (I am on a 1gigabit line) even using an ax connection about a foot from the router
    • Second:All wired and wireless devices randomly loose connection and you have to disconnect and reconnect to fix it
    • Constant drops thst require special tweaks should NOT be needed to get full speed or proper connections
    • I had a very poor internet connection before buying and always thought it was my provider, and while it is true my service is still slow, it is now a very stable connection with no lag
    • When using an Ethernet cable as a backhaul (the connection between two routers in a Wifi Mesh system), the Dual-Band router (RT-AX58U or AX3000 -same router) gives similar performance, with one SSID and an AX connection for Wifi6 clients(devices)...for about $75 less!
    • None of my devices having lag issues, and all connections are fast.
    • What I was finding is that my devices, although having a strong connection signal, were struggling to send and receive packets.
    • The latter mode supposed to automatically choose the best connection either Wireless or Ethernet backhaul
    • I receive extremely strong connection at all time
    • I can go anywhere in the half acre yard and I have a consistent wireless connection
    • The second problem, and the one which forced me to return the router, was that it randomly loses its internet connection for a few seconds on average about 3-4 times per day
    • Buy this, then go buy the Asus AC extender if u need a hard line connection somewhere else in your home, use the Asus AIMesh network, and bam
    • In side the home the connections are fine
    • Upon switching noticed all my start security appliances has faulty connections, nest security cameras would disconnect in and out
    • Then about 5 hours later, connection loss again
    • boosting features tanked all connections that would test all they way down 7MB per devices
    • For anyone looking to upgrade, i would first recommend using a wifi analyzer app and adjust the channels on your current router to see if you can get better connection
    • This makes sense as keeping solid connection between the router and node is crucial in mesh network system, and Mesh system like Orbi uses this technology as well
    • With the mesh node and Smart Connect, I have more stable connections than I had with my previous router
    • I think you're supposed to lose connection for a second or two while the channel switches
    • Everything lost connection to the wireless
    • The setup was quite easy (as long as you start aimesh setup from scretch and follow the step-by-step instructions).Unfortunately, Merlin custom firmware doesn't (and won't) support this router; however, I know that ASUS team is working on the release candidate firmware for Aimesh v.2, which will finally allow proper guest connections from nodes (not just from the master).
    • Connection issues since it doesn’t have sticky connections.
    • They completely covered my home with wifi signal and none of my devices ever lost connection to the mesh devices themselves (but the backhaul DID loose connection, thus the internet would drop, but the connection from external devices to the wifi would not drop).Full disclosure, I DID have to change the channels manually
    • yr old wifi Netgear router in place instead and now the connection and wifi is solid but with slower speed
    • However to ensure the two MESH devices have great connection and speed, they added the WiFi 6 chips in their routers so that the two can use the additional bandwidth provided
    • The connection is stable, I had the unit run 18 days without a reboot
    • Range is much better this way and connection is stable and fast.
    • Its also good to remember the further away you are the slower the connection thats just how all routers work.
    • Stable connection
    • My TV's, Xbone, Alexa's and everything else around it continually lost connection and had to reconnect.
    • but as soon as I moved to about 30 feet away the speed dropped to 5-10Mbps and the connection became unstable
    • I have mine configured in a single SID and choose the best connection speed for the device
    • You're device automatically disconnects and reconnects typically without you noticing, with some exceptions of apps/services that don't support roaming connections
    • I would certainly recommend this to anyone that is in need of good connections to many devices
    • my router will either lose connection to the internet entirely or drop to less that 1 Mbps speed (I have gigabit internet).Typically, a manual full system reset (unplug everything, plug back in, etc) will fix this.
    • Gives you good connections
    • I noticed other devices like my Windows 10 PC that is 3 floors away from the router has a stronger faster wireless connection that is more stable.
    • n’t go wrong with this router
    • n’t get anymore complaints about not connecting or dropped wireless
