    • This is the setup I used when I achieved the fastest speeds in speed tests, I tried virtually every
    • You will not get optimal speeds with that feature enabled
    • Awesome speeds for those channels (two 5GHz).The router has many cool features including 160hz channels and 2.5GB Ethernet if that makes a difference to you and has a plethora of awesome things you can control

    • I purchased about 5 years earlier which started having odd issues now and then that would be fixed with a reboot, and a problem I later found was any ASUS router QOS throttles connection speeds to 600mb/s and has to be disabled to get better speeds.
    • What I received is less coverage and slower speeds
    • The Asus routers that are compatible with the Asus AI mesh set up make a really nice home system with a couple routers set up in a 3000 square-foot house the coverage is spectacular and the speeds are awesome
    • and I ended up getting slower speeds and more difficulty
    • This product has an upside which is great speed from the router
    • I use this one for low speed devices like Nest, printer, Wi-Fi enables scale, ect
    • None gave me as good signal and as good constant speed as this did.
    • I get good speeds from it, and it doesn't lock up or crash
    • Upgraded internet speed

    • My AC 2x2 phone gets decent speed outside of my house and even down the
    • The speed is phenomenal!
    • While asus does give some good control over smart connect, you can create all sorts of custom rules for when a device connects to which band, I like being able to know which one I'm connecting to if my device supports the fastest speed
    • The link between the two routers is stable, and the speed is superb
    • I am having constant network drops, slow speeds.
    • All of our devices for a 4 adult household have been seeing much improved speed, as well as, signal strength
    • Awesome speed
    • So in theory it is possible to achieve around 1.02 Gbps on my fastest 1.7 Gbps link and between 720 Mbps-1.44 Gbps on a 2.4 gbps link (hence why I wanted the aggregate wan link to work, because a single cat5e uplink will limit my internet speeds to ~940 Mbps)
    • People say it hurts your wifi speeds and it's possible, but this didn't for us
    • Overall, weeks later I still love the router, the incredibly snappy firmware interface and the speed.
    • Overall, weeks later I still love the router, the incredibly snappy firmware interface and the speed.
    • Based on all the information at hand, I expected better wifi coverage from more antennas and better hardware as well as possibly faster speeds from better connectivity, as I wasn't getting nearly all the bandwidth the 802.11ac spec is capable of (though I understand it's a theoretical limit).
    • In the back yard, approximately 20ft from the house, my speeds were deplorable and I chalked it up to attenuation due to paying through solid objects
    • Easy to set up, speed is faster than my old Apple modem, range is very good
    • However to ensure the two MESH devices have great connection and speed, they added the WiFi 6 chips in their routers so that the two can use the additional bandwidth provided
    • The speed did seem good
    • Get even worst speed when on Satellite connection

    • , I get faster speed 10+ MB/s download speeds
    • I love the USB3 data transfer speeds
    • The speed would work for basic internet in the garage but unfortunately the 2.4 would drop out every few days leaving all connections in limbo
    • I’ve tried everything, and nothing will boost this speed
    • Unfortunately, speeds are extremely inconsistent and I can't figure out why, and it seems like that's true even for wired
    • (I only connect iot devices to the 2.4 network, and they don't need much speed to work, so I didn't bother doing testing
    • I bought this router for the fast speed and the large ram; I don't have any wifi 6 devices yet

    • I coupled it with a high end Netgear modem and experience over the top speed and coverage.
    • So to me it makes sense to combine the 2 lower bands and use that for iot devices (thermostats, nest/echo hubs, smart lights, tvs, etc) and then have user devices use their own dedicated band capable of the fastest speeds
    • Higher the number of the channel the faster the Wi-Fi speed, but this will only be noticed for in home networking like connecting to a NAS
