I contacted ASUS and after 3 weeks of looking into the problem, they basically gave up and said that the Vive Wireless Adapter is not compatible with this motherboard.
Keep in mind that I have tested the Vive Wireless Adapter in another machine and it works fine in that one.
After much troubleshooting and configuration, I am unable to get the Vive Wireless Adapter to work with this motherboard.

The board has great thermals and the VRMs are solid, the built in wifi is incredible, my old Aorus board couldn't get above
Therefore there is no way to stop the RGBs on the board from cycling rainbow, which is super frustrating when I've worked very hard for a clean black and white build.

After using Linux Mint 19.1 for about 1-1/2 months I find that this so far is a real good motherboard and with the i5 intel processor it is one very fast motherboard and would be good for gaming.

This board even with the distance and walls between me and my router can get over 535mb/s steady
