Many owners have gotten monitors with dead pixels, dust specs and blobs stuck behind the panel and horrible backlight bleed/IPS glow.

While many owners have been reporting that they've been receiving panels with dead pixels, horrible backlight bleed and IPS glow, what's more disconcerting is that some many forum members are speculating that Asus has been taking many returned units, adding a "QC Passed" sticker and resealing it and shipping it as new.

Although this photo isn't entirely accurate, this light leakage will only worsen in a dark room and I suppose I can take solace in the fact that, since this screen was likely no better as far as backlighting is concerned, I didn't have to waste time testing it

I had no problems with it, no dead pixels, no backlight

As a side note: I already had an IPS panel, and this was not at all IPS glow, it was over-the-top backlight bleed.

I was really hoping after a year since this was first released that the backlight bleed (BLB)would have been fixed

I would have honestly kept this one if not for the darker yellow backlight bleed in the upper right side

Before I delve into an actual review, I'd like to point out that my unit came without any defects at all, and backlight bleed/IPS glow are minimal if at all present

After reading several reviews I was confused as to what models were being reviewed after

The color performance is exceptionally well tuned out of the box, and the pixel overdrive function is as close to perfect as you can get

- it may be there, but it didn't work right out the box as I had to manually change the input when the monitor was off - but it doesn't really matter cuz the joystick I explained earlier is boss

This doesn't bother me too much as I can just turn off the setting and notice no difference in game, also like I said, don't be deterred, I'm positive it's my rig or the higher resolution of the monitor

144hz 4K HDR and hopefully no quality problems that this monitor brings.

I don't see them properly making everything more suitable for 4K to not cause blurring, and to be able to read more easily, anytime soon
