ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" 2560x1440 IPS 165Hz 4ms G-SYNC Eye Care Gaming Monitor with DP and HDMI Ports

    • The build quality is very solid as well
    • Everyone on the overclock forums are happy with theirs and most of them came from the PG279Q. Acer has much better quality control on their version of this Asus monitor
    • I will not recommend this purchase to ANYONE after the double whammy of poor quality with both the product and Amazons customer support (which is usually good).I see the comments from ASUS on pretty much everyones review (including mine) saying that we probably just needed to "calibrate" the bleed away
    • Amazing quality monitor
    • Reality is much different and the top quality samples sent to reviewers to base their "glowing" reviews on simply don't seem to be common for those of us actually shelling out the cash to buy one
    • You can see the potential in this monitor the moment you turn it on and play your favorite game though, it's just unfortunate that Asus can't really nail these issues because this would be, without a doubt, the best monitor as far as performance and picture quality
    • The quality is great, picture is nice
    • Ive been through a few of these and this is the best quality one so far
    • Horrible quality control from Asus, will return and get something better.

    • Sorry about the poor quality of photo, I was using my cell phone for it, but you can clearly see in the pic what looks like waves of light at the bottom of the screen
    • Beautiful and great quality
    • Poor quality for an $1100 dollar monitor
    • Poor quality control and even worse customer service.
    • Good quality.
    • My monitor has an important back light bleeding very disappointed!!!This purchase was to replace my 6 years old ips dell monitor which was much better in term of quality...for the price i expected TOP NOTCH quality which dell didn't fail to provide...
    • rate.-Full range G-Sync from 30-165 fsp (compared to it's free sync equivalent MG279Q with 30-90 FPS range)-G-sync turn on and off when it supposed to easily with no hassle (compared to MG279Q which I could not get to work with certain games namely BF4)-Quality build, looks and feels quality, very sturdy even when adjusting height, pivot, swivel etc.-Aesthetically pleasing to look at, aggressive styling yet look good with my some what understated
    • Amazing quality
    • Amazing image quality.
    • the bad part.... this monitor has awful quality control, and I'm sure this isn't the first review you are going to read that says this.
    • For everyone else that is willing to trade 1-3ms of response time for vastly superior image quality, this monitor is available
    • Only Con is the price but the quality is so good if you get a working one its worth it
    • Even though it's a TN panel, it has a very impressive picture quality, and very little back bleeding.
    • The build quality looks top
    • Amazing picture quality, G-Sync is the best and overall it delivers incredible image quality.
    • But you can add glue or gum of good quality so that this problem does not show up
    • Supurb quality
    • Great response and quality at 1440p, 5 stars
    • Horrible quality control from Asus
    • It unfortunately has the worst quality control that I have ever seen
    • Ok the manufacturing is top quality and very sturdy
    • Final thoughts - If you want superior image quality, go with an OLED 4K TV

    • This is a very good quality monitor both in terms of its 4k screen, and build quality I recommand it!
    • It is sturdy, has great overall build quality, and great color reproduction
    • The build quality just seems superb.
    • stuttered and lower quality screens look bad
    • but I already expected this with an IPS screen and wasn't too bothered by it since the overall 21:9 quality is perfect to me.
    • I would avoid these and look for one with better quality
    • This monitor is like looking through a window with no blur and picture perfect color quality!
    • Crappy quality control
    • Very good Quality Build and A Beast for Streaming

    • The build quality is fantastic
    • No problems with my monitor!Pros:-165hz is insane-IPS panel for great quality-27inch is huge and perfect-2K
    • Superb quality
    • I like the image quality and the monitor size
    • The crowds are exaggerating regarding quality control
    • I am not sure but when the monitor is displaying black backgrounds you can see bad picture quality
    • Amazing picture quality
    • Price seemed high, but for good quality, I think that is to be expected.
    • Decent build quality, the OSD with the joystick to navigate is ingenious
    • You have less than a 50-50 shot of getting an decent quality
    • I understand that this is a common failing with IPS monitors, but for the price this should have more stringent quality control
    • Why is it that the more expensive monitors have worse quality control
    • "sturdy" [quality case/bezel/etc] well designed* Fairly minimal bezel.
    • Pros: Good video quality, excellent user interface with built-in joystick and intuitive controls
    • Great build quality, looks good, doesn’t give me a headache playing CS:GO.
    • Would definitely not recommend purchasing this, very poor quality control.
    • I thought an honest review to those who are about to spend over $1,000 should be warned that this product is known for its faulty quality and the customer support experience I had was not fun at all.
    • I returned 2 Pixio monitors in a row due to poor quality and dead pixels
    • I do not need a good image quality since I use them mainly for
    • but the quality even down to the way it was packed is terrible
    • It has terrible picture quality and by the time I found out it was past the return period
    • Upgraded from what I thought was a pretty good ASUS monitor that I purchased a few years ago, but the PG279Q simply blows the image quality of the old one out of the water.
    • I was comparing these monitors to the Dell s2716dg TN panel, The dell has excellent build quality, a poor menus system, and you often have to unplug the monitor to wake up from sleep mode
    • Excellent build quality, great features
    • you dont know what you are missing till you get this bad boy, very good picture quality, and quality parts as usual, just make sure to buy the warrenty, its a must

    • Way too expensive for pixel failures, bad quality control
    • The good: awesome build quality, great OSD navigation, best bullet point features
    • also strong and quality :
    • I’m going to buy something cheaper, where accepting poor quality will be easier.
    • Beautiful image quality and love the sturdy design
    • It is quite possible I will update my review once I receive the proper quality items.
    • im either going to get a BEN-Q without Gsync (Super quality) or try the AOC version.
    • Absolutely horrible quality control on these monitors
    • Ips colors are fantastic and I've never been blessed with such great picture quality
    • excellent picture quality.
    • The anti-glare coating (Matte) is horribly visible on the screen, and gives movies/games a bad quality.
    • I you have been keeping up with this monitor on forums like overlock and reddit, then you know about the bad quality control it
    • ultra wide), and the electronics surrounding the panel itself may include new features like black equalization, the panel in this particular model is fast and high quality, and not easily surpassed
    • It is very stylish and has a solid build quality
    • It is very sad that such a high-end monitor does not have better quality control than this.
    • The build quality is solid and the design is appealing, even if the angled ports are a little annoying, and the onscreen display buttons were extra useful to me, as I like to alter my brightness fairly often
    • Seriously if you're unlucky and get a "lemon", you're still going to appreciate the quality and maneuverability of the stand
    • There aren't many monitors that have high resolution, but low enough to still render 100+ fps in most games, excellent color quality of IPS, much faster response time than Hz
    • It has absolutly INSANE Ultra low motion blur, excellent response times and great overall image quality when it comes to the monitor itself
    • Quality is amazing.
    • The build quality and QC just isn't reliable
    • Quality of motion is great, especially with G-Sync
    • I was automatically thoroughly impressed with the design of the monitor, the build quality and sleek design was spot on
    • Awesome right out of the box, great quality product, no dead pixels, looks and works awesome

    • Excellent build quality
    • The resolution makes other games look amazing!Excellent quality from ASUS as always
    • The quality of the stand was amazing, the menus system superb, better than any other monitor I have used
    • Then up to the positive qualities of this monitor: This is the first LCD monitor that I have seen that combines good colour with neglible motion blur / ghosting / overshoot
    • This monitor handles color fantastically but back-light bleed (not IPS glow) and the clear low quality of the manufacture make this a horrible monitor to look at
    • I saw a bunch of reiews about the terrible quality control, but I'm pretty sure that ASUS got their QC together because my monitor had very very small amount of bleed in the top right that you could only see if you looked for it
    • Sold my 2011 Samsung S27A950 and went down to my local computer store to pick up the hyped up Asus PG279Q. I had read the reviews here warning me about the bad Quality Control on these panels
    • The colors pop very well and the build quality is amazing.
    • It seems like asus finally has better quality control on these panels
    • Very expensive but unmatched quality!
    • This flickering and generally poor color quality on the panel caused excessive blurring in games and even when just using the monitor for looking at web pages; the excessive "motion blur" caused motion sickness for me
    • Poor quality control and their support is awful
    • The rumors of their painful customer service and shoddy quality are absolutely true and well deserved.
    • Expensive as
    • G-Sync works as
    • After reading several reviews I was confused as to what models were being reviewed after
    • The color performance is exceptionally well tuned out of the box, and the pixel overdrive function is as close to perfect as you can get
    • - it may be there, but it didn't work right out the box as I had to manually change the input when the monitor was off - but it doesn't really matter cuz the joystick I explained earlier is boss
    • This doesn't bother me too much as I can just turn off the setting and notice no difference in game, also like I said, don't be deterred, I'm positive it's my rig or the higher resolution of the monitor
    • Pricey i
    • I'm glad I stick with what I k pw and trust in Asus
    • I still have to wait for this thing to warm up as I just got it about an hour ago, so we'll see if I have to update this review if my third unit starts bleeding.
    • Great monitor no defects like dead pixels or bad back light bleed in the one I
    • Great monitor no defects like dead pixels or bad back light bleed in the one I
    • , just doesn't look as good as my old samsung syncmaster 244T
