ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34" 21:9 3440x1440 IPS 100Hz G-SYNC Eye Care Gaming Monitor DP HDMI Ports

    • While many owners have been reporting that they've been receiving panels with dead pixels, horrible backlight bleed and IPS glow, what's more disconcerting is that some many forum members are speculating that Asus has been taking many returned units, adding a "QC Passed" sticker and resealing it and shipping it as new.
    • Absolutely horrific backlight bleed
    • Many owners have gotten monitors with dead pixels, dust specs and blobs stuck behind the panel and horrible backlight bleed/IPS glow.
    • I would have honestly kept this one if not for the darker yellow backlight bleed in the upper right side
    • Bad backlight bleed in the lower right, and in the top center
    • As a side note: I already had an IPS panel, and this was not at all IPS glow, it was over-the-top backlight bleed.
    • Insane backlight bleed
    • I want to get a replacement without dead pixels or severe yellow backlight bleed
    • All 4 units of the PG278QR that I have seen first hand, do NOT have any significant backlight bleed at all
    • Absolutely horrific backlight bleed
    • Although this photo isn't entirely accurate, this light leakage will only worsen in a dark room and I suppose I can take solace in the fact that, since this screen was likely no better as far as backlighting is concerned, I didn't have to waste time testing it
    • I was really hoping after a year since this was first released that the backlight bleed (BLB)would have been fixed
    • Terrible Backlight bleed
    • From what I've seen, I don't believe a perfect backlight bleed free monitor exists in this model
    • About 80% of the monitors have dead pixels or terrible backlight bleed
    • I had no problems with it, no dead pixels, no backlight
    • Terrible Backlight bleed
    • Horrible backlight bleed
    • I've sent two of these monitors back to newegg due to the horrible backlight bleed
    • Before I delve into an actual review, I'd like to point out that my unit came without any defects at all, and backlight bleed/IPS glow are minimal if at all present
    • Insane backlight bleed
    • Horrible backlight bleed
    • The color performance is exceptionally well tuned out of the box, and the pixel overdrive function is as close to perfect as you can get
    • This doesn't bother me too much as I can just turn off the setting and notice no difference in game, also like I said, don't be deterred, I'm positive it's my rig or the higher resolution of the monitor
    • - it may be there, but it didn't work right out the box as I had to manually change the input when the monitor was off - but it doesn't really matter cuz the joystick I explained earlier is boss
    • Expensive as
    • G-Sync works as
    • After reading several reviews I was confused as to what models were being reviewed after
    • 144hz 4K HDR and hopefully no quality problems that this monitor brings.
    • I don't see them properly making everything more suitable for 4K to not cause blurring, and to be able to read more easily, anytime soon
    • I'm glad I stick with what I k pw and trust in Asus
    • I still have to wait for this thing to warm up as I just got it about an hour ago, so we'll see if I have to update this review if my third unit starts bleeding.
    • Pricey i
    • Great monitor no defects like dead pixels or bad back light bleed in the one I
    • Great monitor no defects like dead pixels or bad back light bleed in the one I
    • Don't get me wrong, the display itself is absolutely gorgeous; the colors are wonderful, the bezels are slim, the stand is clean and stylish, and the stated features (144hz, g-sync, etc) all work as intended.
    • The g-sync and fast refresh paired beautifully with my GTX 1080 to make an amazing gaming experience
    • In addition to a 165Hz panel you get Nvidia's G-Sync adaptive-refresh technology, ULMB motion-blur reduction, GamePlus, a hot-key to switch framerates on the fly and the usual lineup of gaming-specific image modes
    • If you don't have G-sync supporting GTX cards, DO NOT buy this model
    • Color Accuracy-Great Response Time-G-SYNC-Easy to adjust refresh rates
    • I've tested a few games (Overwatch, DOOM, Civ VI, among others) with G-Sync, which works perfectly and adds a huge edge for competitive games
    • Cons: G-Sync Scan Lines impacting the right half of the screen, signifying a faulty G-Sync Module
    • G-sync works
    • I will just go for the cheapest G-sync next time around
    • Modified graphics settings on the computer instead of the monitor (most websites say to try disabling G-Sync and V-Sync, dropping it down to 60hz, adjusting gamma, and so much more.**Of
    • The G-Sync when combined with a refresh rate of more than 60 hertz, the screen flickers 10 times in under a minute
    • Upon disabling G-Sync, the scan lines became far less visible
    • You're practically paying $150 just for G-Sync (Which I love
    • , just doesn't look as good as my old samsung syncmaster 244T
