    • The atrocious backlight bleed coupled with the vertical line overlay on the edge of the display really shouldn't have to be dealt with after spending close to $800
    • I tested the monitor for any dead pixels or back light bleeding and I couldn't see any problems.
    • However on my shipment the backlight bleed was unacceptable
    • No backlight bleed at all and only two black pixels near the bottom of the screen, they're hard to notice so its not a problem.
    • As a side note: I already had an IPS panel, and this was not at all IPS glow, it was over-the-top backlight bleed.
    • Well because of the IPS glow/LED bleeding, it's extremely annoying especially because it's mainly just on the bottom right area of the screen
    • Unfortunately, mine has a dead pixel directly in the center of the panel and the IPS bleed on this thing is bad
    • Great monitor if you can ignore the light bleed in the corners.
    • The problem is the backlight bleed.
    • No IPS glow, no dead/stuck/bright pixels, no bleeding in the corners, just perfect
    • No flicker, no bleeds, no dead pixels
    • But of course, if there are color issues, dead pixels or even outrageously bad bleed, I'd return

    • Unfortunately, my unit has significant backlight bleed on the entire right-side of the monitor and a stuck pixel finally showed itself a few days ago
    • Came through warehouse deals and not a single dead pixel, no backlight bleed I can see, and just overall a perfect product!
    • The backlight bleed and ips glow is horrible
    • Monitor looks great, no bleeding, no dead pixels, nothing.
    • The back-light bleed looks like a yellow stain
    • It has the worst backlight bleed of all 4 monitors and will be going back because of that
    • Delivered and setup on December 4th, 2015.Pros: Secure packaging, quality cables, monitor build quality (sans panel) is superbCons: Severe backlight bleed in the bottom right corner, replacement necessaryAmazon currently does not have more stock of this
    • The example I have suffers from significant bleeding in both lower corners as well as the upper left as if there is a microscopic flashlight spraying white light from each corner
    • smooth-Backlight bleed isn't too bad, comparing it to the horror stories that I've seen about the monitor.-OSD is very easy to navigateCons:-Colors out of the box may need some calibration-Price-Panel uniformity (some areas are darker than others, colors aren't totally
    • The backlight bleeding is awful and is very noticeable in every game I play.(Division,World of Warcraft
    • I went through two other less expensive models of curved monitors from separate manufactures, experiencing backlight bleed issues for the most part; the one monitor I tried that was actually backlight bleed free had an issue with darks and shadows
    • Backlight bleed was minimal, just a little around the top and bottom right corners but well within acceptable levels in my opinion.
    • For me personally, the bleed isn't bad enough in the dark that it ruins my work entirely, but it’s still a serious issue
    • About 80% of the monitors have dead pixels or terrible backlight bleed
    • The back light bleed is minimal and doesn't bother me.

    • Terrible Backlight bleed
    • Not much bleeding, amazing picture with anything that can do 21:9
    • All had bad backlight bleed , plus multiple dead/stuck pixels.
    • I knew going in to this purchase thata) this was the best 27" IPS monitor around, andb) back light bleed and IPS glow would 100% be a factor given the limitations of today's technology and sadly, Asus quality controlThe reason I went ahead and bit the bullet and purchased this model over the Acer predator and other 27" high refresh rate IPS displays was for one reason and one reason alone; all of the positive reviews both on Amazon and on Youtube and other places
    • No dead pixels and very minimal back light bleed, not even enough to notice it unless you're looking for it.
    • The screen has significant BLB (backlight bleed) and is really annoying and forces one to turn the brightness way down just to be usable
    • Having said that, I was certainly concerned about QC issues surrounding bad pixels and backlight bleed.
    • This unit works fine and only has some, albeit annoying, light bleed on the left corners but otherwise works as advertised

    • My only gripe is some back light bleed in the bottom right corner

    • I purchased this monitor and i really wanted to love it but unfortunately the light bleed is insane
    • That's not to say there aren't units out there with severe light bleed issues, but I think it's only fair to contribute my experience, which has been nothing but positive
    • It is true that this bleed becomes difficult if not impossible to notice during gaming but the minute you crank up a movie (especially one with black bars), wham, there's the bleed.
    • However, before packaging it up, I did take one photo in low light and brightness to demonstrate the bleed and glow prevalent on the screen
    • Absolutely horrific backlight bleed
    • This makes any backlight bleed appear even worse.
    • I would have honestly kept this one if not for the darker yellow backlight bleed in the upper right side
    • I have to admit, I was really nervous ordering this monitor with all the complaints about dead pixels, backlight bleed, and some monitors not being able to hit the 100hz refresh rate.

    • I was hesitant due to the cost and because of the negative reviews regarding the light bleed and dead pixels
    • IPS glow I can handle, but the backlight bleed on my unit was just absurd
    • Maybe I lucked out but the monitor I got had no issues including back light bleeds that's commonly found
    • Backlight bleed is apparently a common defect in monitors, making ordering a monitor through Amazon big a gamble
    • My monitor has horrible backlight bleed in the top and bottom right hand corners, its extremely visible when viewing black screens and even visible when viewing regular colored images and movies
    • I want to get a replacement without dead pixels or severe yellow backlight bleed
    • Anyone who doesn't know the difference between glow and light bleed should not be purchasing this monitor to begin with
    • The replacement monitor did NOT have the QA sticker and had terrible bleeding of light in the corners
    • For upwards of $800, the backlight bleed is inexcusable and it is a huge slap in the face to fire the monitor up after seeing a "QC Passed" sticker on the box and see all that bleed
    • My monitor came with prominent light bleeding in the top right corner
    • Screen looks great no horrendous bleed, glow, dead pixels

    • Still has backlight bleed, loose bezel, many dead/stuck pixels, and inconsistent colors
    • Feel like I got lucky with no dead pixels, light bleed, etc
    • There is slight ips glow (maybe backlight bleed) in the corners
    • While many owners have been reporting that they've been receiving panels with dead pixels, horrible backlight bleed and IPS glow, what's more disconcerting is that some many forum members are speculating that Asus has been taking many returned units, adding a "QC Passed" sticker and resealing it and shipping it as new.
    • But this backlight bleed at this price point is bad.
    • I just dont think I will be able to overlook the excessive back light bleed i have on this monitor

    • No dead pixels, no bleed through, and looks amazing at max resolution.
    • I have a dead pixel and moderate backlight bleed.
    • I am attaching a photo of the monitor with those settings applied AND with camera brightness lowered to show how bad the backlight bleeding is
    • smooth-Backlight bleed isn't too bad, comparing it to the horror stories that I've seen about the monitor.-OSD is very easy to navigateCons:-Colors out of the box may need some calibration-Price-Panel uniformity (some areas are darker than others, colors aren't totally
