ASUS Whole Home Dual-Band AiMesh Router (AC1900) for Mesh Wifi System (Up to 1900 Mbps) - AiProtection Network Security by Trend Micro, Adaptive QoS & Parental Control (RT-AC68U)

    • Very awesome wifi connection even with all of us gaming or watching shows
    • This router provides fast(500Mbps) butter-smooth connections on 5G and 2.4G(over 100Mbps) and so far has NEVER needed a reboot
    • After not being able to watch a movie because the "connection was to slow" I starting researching routers, and diagnosing my internet connection issues (to find out it was not my cable modem).I scored the ASUS RT-AC68U for $150, and it has been worth every penny
    • Our connection is consistent and reliable.
    • Reading the forms it seems that this router has difficulties in maintaining a stable WAN connection
    • For example, if I'm sitting in my car setting up navigation on my phone, I have a good strong signal and connection but cannot download the information for the route.
    • Range for both 2.5 and 5GHz are great, although, contrary to some of the reviews on here, 2.5 seems to provide a more reliable connection at the fringes of range
    • Connection is solid
    • I got this router to replace a faulty Archer C9 that would always overheat and lose connection
    • Dlna, wifi looses connections, slow speeds..etc
    • Stable connections to many devices
    • This is the first time I bought an expensive router for home use because I am tired of the slow wireless connection in my master bed room (my house is 2400 SFT, the router and master bedroom in the opposite diagonal)
    • I have a home gym in my basement where I stream music from my Nexus 7 tablet, and with my previous router the connection would cut in and out and barley work, I have full signal with the ASUS router, and seamless music
    • This is pretty good since there is no such thing as getting the speed you pay for over WiFi, I havent lost connection like i used to with my old router.
    • never have issues of failed connections
    • all running with fast connections.
    • Once connection is lost it is difficult and time consuming to re-establish a network connection.
    • Features galore, high capacity (WAN-->LAN, multiple simultaneous connections, total throughput, etc.), nice web-interface, great and improving mobile app, and most importantly, problem free & rock solid connection, both WAN and Wireless.
    • Best connection all over the house!
    • Great Connection and Range
    • It's very stable, unlike other routers I've had, which dropped connections or had slow flakey connections and needed to be reset often.
    • Got this router yesterday to replace the cheap TP Link router because TP had unstable connection issue both wired and wireless
    • I bought this router mainly for its dual wan load balancing feature and while it is indeed a good router in most use cases i could not give it more than 3 stars because its dual wan load balancing feature is completely unusable, i have spent weeks installing every version firmware that asus released for it to no avail, the main issue when using dual wan load balancing mode is that SSL pages do not load correctly and HTTPS websites either require multiple refreshes to load or does not load at all, i have tracked it down to the fact that the firmware uses dumb round robin distribution of connections upon the 2 WAN interfaces it does not smartly detect that secure connections need to be completely on 1 WAN
    • Then 2 days into it, connection to the 2.4Ghz band (via a laptop) keeps dropping while connection to the 5 Ghz band (via an iPad) seems solid
    • Sometimes they won't connect, other times they will have very slow connection speeds
    • otherwise they cause bleed over which will kill your wifi connection and speeds because the router gets confused on which is the wifi signal and which is spatter
    • This will allow you to have faster speeds and a stable connection with the internet
    • Great range and connection
    • It works for a bit, then it works partially - one computer gets a really good, powerful connections, while another gets connected, no internet service
    • Have unstable connection and it automatically reboots and refreshes.
    • The connection is solid downstairs on my back porch today streaming video.
    • - the connection was unstable.
    • and my connections have been holding solid since
    • not as good as an older Netgear, very poor performance, disatisfied with the product, constantly loosing connection
    • I however use Skype and Wechat a ton and you will get a small time (usually no more than 10 second) where it will have an "unstable connection" but it will regain the connection but will not drop the call, most of the time
    • Modem, cables, everything else has a good solid connection
    • Testing the modem separately, my connection never fails
    • but you will have a stable connection
    • After a couple weeks of constant hand-holding and never getting stable connections, I returned the Linksys and went back to ASUS with this RT-AC68U.
    • Quick and easy install and excellent connection wall-to-wall through roughly 3,000 square feet (2-level) on 3 Rokus and many other devices
    • Installed in basement and covers whole interior of the house plus a solid connection within a 150' radius around the exterior.
    • Solid connection, great range, and somehow, the connection seems to get faster the longer I am connected
    • For the last month I've been loosing my connection once a day
    • My laptop also looses connection periodically for a minute or two and then reconnects
    • I don't have a large house, but I've had a lot of trouble getting a stable wireless connection in my office at the end of the house
    • I never lose connection, and have consistent, solid connection and very fast speeds, even with 6 devices connected at once.
    • When I move the mouse to the wireless signal indicator at the bottom taskbar, it pops up a list of available router connection near me and at the top of the list it still shows I am connecting to my home network
    • It was an additional step AFTER I had connected with http with the Android ASUS app, it asked me if I wanted to use a more secure connection
    • I even lose connection to it as a gateway on my machines which is why I have to perform a hard shutdown and start up.
    • Great range on 2.4 band, I have a solid connection across a 2 lane street and 3 floors up
    • but, if im playing games online, i prefer a hardwired connection
    • have no problem at all and never lost internet connection
    • It also, like others have reported, has a mostly unstable USB 3.0 connection, often times the connected drive cannot be seen
    • This is quite frustrating since factory firmware never handles many connections well (like torrents).
    • works for me.. my previous unit was giving me buffering problems on the second floor.. after a little problem transferring my wi-fi signal from the internal comcast modem feature to the Asus router , and a little confusion on some simple set up , i got it up and running in an hour or so.. at one point i lost all internet connection even on my primary computer but after simply rebooting the new router out of desperation , everything started to hum..
    • it looks like they skimped on the 2.4 radio chip and if you have devices that only support this then you will find a slow and unreliable connection
    • I have a 2 story and used to have issues with connections to IOT devices randomly dropping and losing connections on opposite side and different floor
    • I never lose connection and the signal is strong even two floors below in my basement.
    • Blazing fast connection with virtually no buffering on 4K streaming
    • Plus, weak signal/connection and frequent disconnects are gone.
    • I do get a stronger wifi connection from the farthest areas of my home when compared to the Nighthawk (
    • Blazing fast connection now.
    • It does it all and more and provides the many internet connected devices in our household with fast and stable internet connections
    • Drops connections at least once an hour, Impossible to play playstation or xbox on wireless with this.
    • This router seriously couldn't keep a stable internet connection for an entire day if it's life & ASUS' career depend on it
    • I had problems with Netflix dropping my connection on my TV because there wasn't enough band width with all my wireless devices.
    • Would definitely recommend this for its high speed, great range and stable connection.
    • If you want a reliable connection, consider some other product
    • Noticed a strong signal thru my house immediately and faster downloads with more reliable connections
    • and I have never lost a bar as far as connection goes
    • otherwise it violates SSL certificate policy which means the web page does not load, i have searched on the internet and found many others having similar issues to what i faced, also i found that even on multi threaded download managers the router would only use 1 WAN interface for all the threads which made it even less useful, torrents did distribute connections on both WAN interfaces however the positive effect was not note worthy, i did try contacting asus directly and reporting the
    • Experienced an immediate speed increase and have had very reliable connections over both wireless bands.
    • R7000 Nighthawk that repeatedly dropped wifi connections every couple minutes right out of the box, and that (R7000) had replaced Netgear R6300v2 which after 2 years began to fail, losing connections to wifi devices at least once a week requiring reboot, and sometimes losing COMPLETE connection to internet
    • Setup was quick and easy, and I'm getting faster internet connections with this than my past router
    • my internet doesn’t drop anymore, the connection is stable throughout my house
    • Very fast connections, great range (covers my entire 2,000+ sqft
    • Everything from my phone to my laptop has a much, much faster connection.
    • At the other end , in the living room, dining room, and kitchen, I was unable to get a reliable connection
    • The only wired connection (to a desktop near the networking origin) would not hold a stable connection
    • No lag or hiccups using multiple connections and steams
    • It provides strong connections and very fast speeds (it even exceeds the supposed speed limits of my providers connection)
    • Great quality router, fast connection and nice range!!
    • The configuration screens are easy to understand, and also offer advanced features for power users - including dual WAN mode if you have redundant Internet connections.
    • I took a lot of time to really research routers as we have AT&T T-1000 fiber that just screams.
    • works great i like it a lot
