Since Android portable devices and streaming video boxes like Fire TV may have unintentional (or intentional) security flaws or snooping behavior, it's best to put them on guest networks where they aren't allowed to access your main network

Both my previous router (Netgear AC1900 (R7000)) and the router that I replaced the ASUS router with (Linksys AC5400 (EA9500) work fine with all of the smart home devices
