Some features are unavailable unless the batteries are installed such as caller ID.

The caller ID is a great feature and the revised operation program is an improvement over this model phone which was offered several years ago.

LCD washed out after about 15 months-- had gotten used to this handy feature -- without display though can't use directory, find out who's calling or verify number dialed.
