I bought this with the intention of using it for vocals, but I've found that I actually prefer it to record my acoustic guitar - this microphone picks up all the sound that I'm looking for from my acoustic - it's the nice, mellow, and full bodied sound that I hear when I'm playing, but that I was never able to capture before.

The AT2020 delivered quite well!Compared to the standard Blue Yeti, the AT2020 sounds noticeably more crisp and clear

The thing to remember with preamps is totry to get close to the *loudest possible clean sound*coming out of the preamp and generatea BIG signal going IN to the recording device, which shouldhave its input gain quite LOW (maybe like "2" or even "1").Watch your clipping/overload levels,listen for any audible noise or distortion in the recording,and make adjustments to cut those sound flaws, if they are present

Although, I suspect any decent preamp used properly with the AT2020would sound pretty darn good

It has a clear natural sound, very good response and is built like a tank

I have two good dynamic microphones for live shows and speech, but I was looking for the warm, deep sound you can only get with a good condenser microphone

Whether you buy it new (about $120, if even) or used (about $70), those are still great prices for such a good sounding mic

I use a 5ch mixer that was easy to get and the sound into my computer is great

then i plug it in my mixer audio interface and the sound is great even before any compression or eq on my vocals for the money you cant get a better mic 5 stars for me!!!!

After reading some commercial voiceover text and singing some verses, I found the AT2020 had a better signal to noise ratio but the overall sound was too bright.

Great microphone, I use it with my cheap/budget Behringer mixer, the sound is good and if I turn up the gain it will pick up everything in the room

I'm amazed how clean my voice sounds with the right amount of base and clarity

I absolutely love this mic, the sound is great and with a noise gate and some EQ through this program called Reaper I can use it for Mumble, Skype and game audio

Amazing sensitivity and deep sound

It's amazing to get such great sound for such a low price, and I would highly recommend the AT2020 to anyone playing acoustic music.

I loved this product when I first got it, crisp sound, easy to use; but after a few months of light use the microphone cuts in and out!

It's sound is clear and bright but vibrations from the floor and mic stand caused an output overload

Inside and out these mics have some really nice sound

Nothing wrong with either of the USB mics (a Blue Snowball and a Blue Yeti), in fact I highly recommend the Blue Yeti if you want great sound at a reasonable price with minimal fuss.

And if you are presently recording vocals withsomething like an SM58, moving up to the AT2020with a modest preamp will absolutely blow your mind--Much "bigger" sounding,with much finer detail, presence and clarity

Not sure if this is a design feature but it makes you have to sit very very close , like mouth about 6-7” away for clear clean sound to be imputed
