    Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7BK SonicPro Over-Ear High-Resolution Audio Headphones, Black

    • It just seems that these headphones can't keep up with some bass-heavy music like other headphones that accentuate this range (i.e. Beats) can
    • but now the bass is louder and the treble has been quelled down to the point that the headphones sound more like a standard V-shape with good separation and detail, from being the forward sounding headphones of the older model
    • I am not an acoustical expert, but I don't agree that they overemphasize the bass; to me it sounds awesomely balanced
    • I gave those to my son and then ordered a pair of V-Moda Crossfade M-100s, These had a nice deep bass to them and were much more comfortable then the HD380s; however, they were not nearly as clean
    • Dont expect bass, the bass is not absent, but its not the boom a basehead wants
    • A lot of detail, accurate bass and mids
    • but if you like acoustic or classical, these do create more bass than you want
    • Yet the sound quality found itself overwhelmed in an artificially boosted bass which drowned out everything else
    • I, personally, like speakers and phones that have accurate bass with revealing treble making these phones my new favorites
    • The midrange and voices are clear, and the bass is solid without being overwhelming
    • The QC25's are pretty well balanced, with a decent bass (close to MSR7, not as refined) and good mid and treble range, They are still much more relaxing a listen
    • That these headphones instead keep the bass well woven into the rest of the music
    • If you like deep powerful bass these headphones may not be the ones for you.
    • Bass is not for bassheads or for anyone who is looking for dynamic bass
    • If you like warmth or want really strong bass, you would do well to look elsewhere.
    • Listening to Dirty Loops i found the bass to be clear but the synth, keys and other sounds were shrill to the point of not being able to listen to more than one track
    • no distortions even with tricky songs – great stereo, bass
    • that being said, some people say bass is lacking
    • You don't NEED to add an amp to get excellent bass out of them
    • Tight, accurate bass
    • The flat response does tend to make the bass a bit quieter than I like, and I'm already used to the 598s being less than many headphones.
    • Their stock-in-trade is delivering the fastest and most refined mid-range on up while not stepping in mud by marrying it to slow thick bass.
    • Bass, while solid, is neutral
    • Meanwhile, the Denons have a bit stronger (but less defined) bass and oddly synthetic-sounding treble
    • I liked the punchy bass from time to time, but found them sloppy and unpredictable - sometimes all I ever heard was mushy bass barfing all over the mix
    • I liked the punchy bass from time to time, but found them sloppy and unpredictable - sometimes all I ever heard was mushy bass barfing all over the mix
    • Excellent bass, crispier trebles very comfortable and slick look
    • So many people have criticized these for under emphasizing the bass.
    • my sound preference is med-light bass, i do not like the bass to be so drastic to the point where it would drown out the lyrics
    • The bass is lacking extremely though
    • Its not heavywith bass I needed to boost some
    • These headphones sounded wonderful but seriously lacked bass and clamped very tightly to the head, as they were studio headphones and the tight fit was to prevent bleed back to the mic
    • The highs are amazing while the bass is very responsive without feeling overwhelming.
    • Even when artificially boosted bass is barely noticeable, all the while the highs sound tinny
    • The highs and mids are absolutely amazing and the bass is so accurate that you will never want to listen to a "over bassed" pair of phones again
    • Don't expect ass kicking bass like a DJ headphone (Like a ATH-50 or beats) these are not colored in any way.
    • I want to hear natural bass, not enhanced
    • Bass Wasn't overpowering
    • Good bass, mid and
    • Just wanted to mention these have enough bass to make me happy
    • Definately doesn't have the thumping bass, but I personally don't like heavy bass
    • No cymbal fatigue at all here.3) highly defined bass
    • The bass is not overwhelming and fake sounding like you would hear one some headphones
    • Bass is nice and tight and sounds great
    • You will lose a little bass, but the bass in the M50x's creates annoying distortion for most music
    • I had no intentions for needing strong bass, but it's a very noticeable difference.
    • You also can try use external AMP to improve bass.
    • Other reviews have complained about soft bass, and perhaps if your genre is hip-hop, heavy metal, or other bass heavy music, then these are probably not for you.
    • Whereas most phones in this price range tend to overemphasize the bass, this set has a very balanced sound that is still very punchy, but distributes the punch evenly through the highs, mids and lows
    • Bass is strong, but not overpowering
    • Great treble, mid-range and bass.
    • although not overpowering bass to the clear sound of light symbols, in this price range I've never heard a better sound coming from a set of headphones
    • even cool and audiophile open headphones have lack of soft, deep, detailed bass that i love
    • People who like the over saturated bass won't want these
    • No annoying muffled bass booms
    • The bass isn't bad, but just weak, even with a mixer set to accentuate the bass
    • Excellent bass and all around sound.
    • The sound was not clear, and the bass was lacking
    • " bass bottom octave, I find it more satisfying in that the bass is deep enough
    • Very natural sounding without any harsh highs or bloated bass.
    • If you are looking for cans that will boost the bass, look elsewhere; these deliver a very flat response
    • They have almost the clarity and precision of the HD380s and good deep bass
    • If you do audiobooks, lectures, and movies and don't mind some tinniness in the treble and a weak bass, these are for you.
    • Bass is clean and not overpowering
    • With a little brighter sound and deeper bass, the ATH really punches up older tunes
    • You will lose a little bass, but the bass in the M50x's creates annoying distortion for most music
    • It's not that the bass is nonexistent on these headphones but it is so clean and appropriate that you might feel like something is lacking
    • If you like to listen to music with amplified heavy bass don't buy these headphones
    • No annoying muffled bass booms
    • However, these are a little top heavy, preferring the crisp clear highs to the mayonnaise of warm bass rubbed all over other headphones, but these certainly pack a low end punch
    • If you like a little more bass I prefer
    • My husband has a B&O pair made like these that swivel and they’ve lasted for some time
    • The earpads are nice and plush as they should be, plenty big for my ears, but aren't huge or overly soft
    • Recommended A+++
    • The mids are really good though, as well as the highs
    • I can tell that these are very much meant for the casual listener, as they did not benefit from an amp from what I could tell
    • The new Momentum's (especially wireless) are about as close to perfect as you can get for a portable consumer headphone
    • I have a pair of M50x's as well as with several other pairs of headphones, but these are by far my favorite set now
    • the next step up was their ESP "phones"Koss ESP-950 Electrostatic Stereophone but at about a grand each and the lack of portability, for those reasons they weren't even a consideration
    • I like the A
