Apparently the "R" version is updated and supports more features than the "L" version

Was a little confused that it only needs power on one end or the other, but that's a good feature.

That said, the features are outstanding and nice to have the capabilities over only one Cat6 or better Ethernet cable

Favorite feature is that ONLY the sender needs to connect to an outlet -- the receiver gets its power using Power over Ethernet (PoE)!

I'm not using it for Ethernet yet, but I tested that feature and it works fine.

The HDCP 2.2 is a critical feature and a big deal if you want to use 4k and extend it.
