BAFX Products Bluetooth Diagnostic OBDII Reader/Scanner for Android Devices

    • Rather than taking it to the repair shop, I bought this and scanned the code: EGR solenoid was bad, plus an O2 sensor
    • Within minutes of its arrival I was able to verify that what I thought was wrong (catalytic O2 sensors)
    • Had a bad sensor and it found the issue right away.
    • It also helped me diagnosis a bad cam sensor on my diesel
    • It will give you reasonably fast sensor information.
    • I was able to read the fault codes on my CLA200 which identify a fault with my right rear wheel speed sensor
    • My husband changed the spark plugs and wires himself and purchased the correct oxygen sensor for our truck and fixed that too!
    • Except that when I plug it in and drive for about 10 miles the TPM sensors stop working properly, and I get the light on until I disconnect the device and turn off the engine then turn it back on and drive for about 2 miles
    • i was expecting to clear fault sensors of the light system
    • Not only that, coupled with the Torque App for Android, I was able to quickly identify the bad oxygen sensor in my Camry and replace it myself in 20 minutes.
    • Helped me diagnose a bad primary O2 sensor on my 06 RSX.
    • After a couple days of looking at data via using the tool and app I installed in my phone, I was able to figure out the problem - bad oxygen sensor
    • It also helped me to identify a transmission issue that required some repair as well as a failed O2 sensor.
    • It connected flawlessly and I figured out and corrected my issue (bad MAP sensor) in minutes.
    • Bad upstream O2 sensor
    • I discovered while the code was right it was definitely not a bad MAP sensor.
    • It turned out I had a faulty Oxygen sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 2 (P0137 code)
    • I assume that it only show what sensor is available for my car
    • It also helped me to identify a transmission issue that required some repair as well as a failed O2 sensor.
    • It helped me diagnose a bad wheel sensor beyond the generic P code I got with Torque
    • Garage Pro app showed the bad abs sensor on my left rear wheel, something Torque Lite nor Dash Control would do, but the app, GARAGE PRO, is $10 for basic on playstore
    • I purchased this as a way of resetting the Engine light due to a faulty sensor that triggers it whenever there are temperature changes
    • OBDII reader with Torque app recommended EGR sensor
    • Install the OBDII scanner tool, pair it with the phone, open the app, check for fault codes, read them (yep, it's the ones from the faulty sensor), clear fault codes, confirm
    • I had a bad O2 sensor.
    • Turns out I received a bad sensor (they're cheapo crappy plastic sensors even from the OEM manufacturer, poor QC)
    • Worked great, helped me diagnose a faulty sensor so that I could repair the wiring to it
    • You can see all available sensors on your vehicle and the only thing you can't do is what your vehicle can't do.
    • Plugged this sucker in and got a code for for a bad MAP sensor (Manifold Air Pressure). After buying a new sensor for my 2003 Hyundia
    • For whatever reason, fuel economy, cylinder misfire and knock sensors are not picked up by this reader and those are just the ones I notice using my app, it was the same when tested with Torque Pro and AutoDoc
    • Hooked it up to my Nexus 6P with Android 'O' (I am developer), synced and was immediately able verify that my sensors were indeed "ready," which if I had done this before I went to the Oregon Emission Station, I would have avoided having to come back since I was not aware if you have a discharged car battery it wipes out all previous sensing data, which had to accumulate again over period of time the car is running, which I guess 40 minutes was not long enough
    • However, I found the lack of available sensors to be too
    • Every time it has been able to diagnose the problem and give accurate sensor readouts through the Torque Pro app
    • The WRX has a recurring fault related to a bad sensor that I have been able to reset, and the Chevy will require service, but it isn't critical
    • The OBDII Scanner helped me diagnose a bad upper O2 sensor
    • reads and clears fault codes and gives great sensor readout, roughly 500ms update time so not bad
    • What it actually does is simply identify whether the various sensors are working or not...it does nothing to assist in remedying the problem
    • Replaced sensor, good as new
    • I needed to verify a bad sensor and this was very accurate
    • Amazing product -- works as advertised -- works for KIA and NISSAN products as advertised -- Torque Light download was F R E Eand easy to use and for most this is all that one would need.
