These mats are dense foam

this product has a good thick foam, but for workout if it gets wet is very dangerous

Though these are foam its more a hard foam than soft

We put a set of these 3/4th inch mats as a base for our home gym and they worked out exactly as we were hoping

but mostly I'm just trying to give a little insulation and make it more comfortable for my kids, as well as for adults when we're working out or doing laundry
