Bottom line for those wanting to skip my verbose review is that it's a well made product that packs a respectable degree of sound quality into a small space - to get something that sounds substantially better, you'd need to spend quite a bit more and dedicate quite a bit more space to it

B&O describes its sound as omnidirectional, and that's accurate

Plus, there's that B&O "cool factor" and obvious build quality that you just don't find in too many other brands

First, let me say that the champ by a wide margin is B&O's A9

From the other direction, I have a few similarly priced Bose products (including the SoundTouch IV), and I'd say that I prefer the B&O to any of the Bose products I have
