The reception is clear and range is good

Great sound and good allows distance to run the house and yard with good reception.

In the city you get about 2 city blocks of clear reception,, I haven't tried them in the woods or in an open area but the overall features are well worth

Distance to a Ham repeater hit out to 15 miles with a transmission report of about a 3 (noisy but understandable), but that repeater is well known for good reception and sits on top of a major hill - I would not expect radio to radio communication across that distance.

Earpiece is quite simple and leaves a little to be desired {think of an earbud with a mic remote threaded through a curved piece to go behind your ear}, but at this price it is what i expected and it does work well with clear reception and transmission.
