Sucks that it was a Christmas present and I can't return it now... one works, but not the other...
Either way given the poorer than normal quality of the antenna, lack of working scramble function along with the failure to communicate with chirp, I would not recommend these radios
Nice came on time work very well in my area covers a nice distance.
The furthest distance through the building we use them is about 250 feet and the work loud and clear
I use these everyday and it appears that it is hit and miss on these radios some work great others not so much!!!

I do not recommend this specific product after a month it quit working.
Although the company that sold it to me was very responsive, the product is very shoddy.
This product didn't last 6 months before it broke or went static
i recommend this product for those baofeng radio users
They work great, the sound quality is good, and plenty of channels to switch into
Actually the cheapest, but once again great build quality.
The build quality is noticeably cheap in a few areas, the belt clip being the most obvious (the tension is provided by a scored piece of plastic which I'm pretty sure will break eventually), but they're a good value for the price, just get some spares
This is an update as of March 25, 2014.I'm putting this further review at the top simply to tell you to that the quality is very, very sketchy and you are likely to end up either with a good radio or a piece of junk.
These work so good, can;t believe the quality for the price of these
Ended up buying RT systems' software and regret not having bought an Alinco V-47 or a Yaesu FT-60 instead
These radios are very easy to program for FRS or GMRS with the appropriate cable (not included) and software (free)
The software that came with it was unusable for me even after I got it to stop flickering when I ran it.
The radios are easily programmed by a laptop or desktop computer, by using a radio programming cable - (not included with the radio), software is available for free by internet download
But the cable and use a software like Chirp to program these radios

The minimum volume is loud enough to hear comfortably in an office environment and receive audio gets quite loud for use outside or in noisy environments
I would not use this in any kind of mission critical environment.
