Since then I have purchased a PC03 FTDI Authentic Genuine USB Programming Cable and had no issues with programming the radio
Happy with my purchase, though my location (Kaua'i, Hawaii) and lack of use by folks using GMRS radio frequencies is my only problem though I do appreciate that I can also use the Scanning features to listen to HAM frequencies and other channels that I am able to program myself with the PC03 FTDI Authentic Genuine USB Programming BaoFeng Tech Cable, that I also purchased.
