For those who are boaters like me it is supposed to be able to utilize the Boating frequencies as well as two meters and 440 megahertz... unlike most other inexpensive units from China this one has a fairly readable manual

Gets a bad rap abt being hard to program just using radio not so its easier than my alinco i used the manual no problem

Also, if you're not a fan of colorful lights, then I have some disappointing news, because the face of this thing lights up in different colors depending on the mode, and it's all explained how to interpret that in the handy (awful) manual

The written manual is hopeless, but there are ton of videos in YouTube on how to set them up

People may complain about the manual programing without the programming cable, but I felt that it wasn't all that complicated, there are many free help videos and a rewritten manual available on line

I gave it four stars for the one reason that the manual is useless

Especially due to the fact that in my manual (I have a dinky-sized manual) under the menu listing, numbers 12 and 13 are missing from the manual.

It lacks an operation manual to describe how one uses the radio.

A better operating manual with the product would be helpful

I found that programming the radio manually was very difficult and the manual was no to clear, but chalked it up to the Chinese to English translation.

I bumped it up another star as they had good communication with me and said they will send out a replacement charger
