This product works very well I have adapted it to my commercial radio system that I already have an operation I have a simplex system the base is located at about 1000 foot elevation the towns that I trying to get my coverage is approximately 25 to 30 air miles with small rolling hills in the neighborhood of 300 - 500 feet above sea level this portable with the adaptation of the high gain antenna did very well from many locations at the 15 mile radius and occasional 20 mile radius has made it contact back to the base with full quietness I was quite impressed
