A real nice feature for this “cheaper” HT is that it listens to two different channels and/or bands at the same time.

After finding out why they did it that way, it was apparent this radio is designed for those who want to monitor and talk on two different channels at once, not a bad feature if it could be turned off easily when it wasn't needed.
