I loved this machine in that its beautiful and produces a really nice ground but its not durable

Most important: the Sette's unique vertical burr design ensures every single bean is ground and sent straight into your portafilter (I prefer single-dosing, and this machine is perfect for that)

Granted theyl more expensive machines and grinders may produce a tastier espresso

This machine is great but longevity is a serious issue

returned it and got hit with 20% restocking fee for "returned fully functional used" sad!yes our machine is working correctly.

I was devastated, and horribly decaffeinated, and I went through all the stages of grief as I requested a return and packed the machine back in the box (thank you to previous reviewer who advised me to save the box)

but I don’t recommend this machine for coarser grind such as drip, French press or chemex.

I purchased my Baratza Grinder about 2 years ago, to go with a Flair portable espresso machine

But for us, this is an excellent upgrade and our hats our off to the company for being able to produce such a fine machine for this price.

although having trouble getting a really fine grind for espresso- just did 2 shots with it on the finest setting, but it didn't choke the machine, and brewed

After a month it did settle down eventually and has worked well for about a year, but all in all these issues consumed more time than I would expect in a newish, expensive machine

The Baratza Sette 270 is a great machine that consistently produces a very fine grind

the fact that it does not have you lose much as there is very little retention in the shoot (one of the main reasons I opted on this model) C) doesn't take up a lot of real estate on the counter D) ease of cleaning
