Batman: Arkham Origins - Playstation 3

    • That's a HUGE plus for me as I didn't think Batman had nearly enough in Arkham City
    • While it does not live of to the superiority of it's predecessors, it is still a great batman game.
    • Who doesn't like Batman?
    • Story is meh, but if you loved the previous games and love Batman you will love this
    • Batman is only two years in the business, and is known as a myth, and a criminal
    • I would say this is one of the best batman games I've ever seen and if you're a batman
    • When it came out, Batman: Arkham Asylum was definitive proof that not only could a good Batman game be made, but a good superhero game in general
    • The story's premise (Black Mask paying 8 assassins to kill Batman on Christmas Eve) is probably the best of the series
    • This next one is a personal preference but Batman in this game kinda grated my nerves, it seem like he expected commissioner Gordon to follow his lead when Gordon knows next to nothing about him
    • I mean, the bat suit itself makes Batman look like a Wrestle Mania/Comic Con reject...and the bosses are rediculous, I can't even beat the second boss, because I don't want to kill the PS3 controller due to button mashing (it isn't my PS3)....so in other words, I can't say that I liked this game at all
    • A good all round Batman game especially for the price.
    • I felt this Batman was better to play because the most wanted missions and casefiles reports gave me more alternatives to choose from while trying to do missions, plus you can squeeze the thugs out and ask them where Enigma's (The riddler) packages are which makes that a little simpler (a little because that will never be easy)
    • Highest possible recommendation for anyone who likes Batman or action games.
    • I would say it's a decent game, but if you really want a good Batman Arkham experience, play either Arkham Asylum or City
    • " Batman moments that we enjoyed so much in Batman Begins and Year One
    • I would recommend this game all die hard Batman fans.
    • It would have been nice to have had a grittier Frank Miller, Batman:
    • The voice actors in this entry are great (Batman's Roger Craig Smith takes a while to get used to, but ultimate his take is for the better, given how they're trying to characterize this new vicious/animalistic Batman), the story is a lot tighter and not as choppy or abrupt as City (remember how quickly Freeze was trying to Kill
    • And much like Rocksteady, Warner Bros. Montreal has done a fantastic job making a realistic Batman story and they should be commended for it
    • About halfway through the campaign, Batman will don the bulky and totally awesome looking XE (Extreme Environment) Suit to help protect him from the extreme cold conditions normally associated with Mr. Freeze
    • One Christmas Eve night Batman finds out that a notorious criminal named Black Mask has put a 50 million dollar bounty on his head, this attracts the attention of eight highly trained assassins who are given one night to kill Batman if they want to collect the reward
    • its not the best batman game out there nothing like arkham assylum or arkham city thats for sure
    • All in all, I would definitely recommend Batman: Arkham Origins, but I'd definitely suggest playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and City first (although this is a prequel to them).
    • The game can suffer from noticeable framerate slowdown at times, normally when lots of enemies are onscreen or when Batman fast travels with the Batplane, and the game froze on me a few times as well
    • It was more than just stopping classic Batman villains
    • The music is above par, dramatic, and fitting to all situations that Batman has to contend with, as well
    • Luckily, Warner Brothers Games Montreal have not, and despite their questionable handling of the gameplay at times, they have managed to craft a truly engaging experience that manages to delve deeper into the tortured protagonist in the mixed, but ultimately recommended "Batman: Arkham Origins."We're spared the origin story we've been told umpteen times by now (little rich boy sees parents get killed, stumbles upon cave, grows up, trains, fights criminals), and instead, "Origins" delves into the beginnings of Batman's early crime-fighting escapades
    • Though not a 5 star game like Batman: Arkham City, this one is still a really good Batman game
    • Love the batman in this game because he is more brutal and aggressive before he became the batman we all know.
    • Mark Hamill didn't do the joker voice and batman's wasn't done by the same guy neither
    • Even the simple act of grappling to surfaces has been made more tedious, as Batman will refuse to latch on to some buildings that are right in front of him for no reason whatsoever
    • But thinking that they had eight Assassins trying to kill Batman in one night, you would have thought or expected the main storyline to be much much longer than it is
    • The primary question that I asked while playing the game was: Why does this young, inexperienced Batman have superior body armor, technology, and equipment to the older, more experienced Batman portrayed in the previous
    • Great batman game but its too similar to arkham city, it should have been a dlc add on for arkham city instead
    • Or it could go the other way around, in which you like Batman SO much that you can't bear to see what they've done to your beloved character
    • However, none of these games have been so good as the Batman series
    • This is my favorite Batman story yet
    • Good Batman game.
    • A great Batman story
    • The targeting is off too because I could be targeting a specific bad guy and Batman slams his fist into someone I did NOT want to attack (like a guy with a stun baton
    • batman is incredible!!!!Read more
    • I don't like the christian bale batman
    • Batman is great, WB Games Montréal is not.
    • ENJOY!2013 - Batman
    • Batman attempts to interfere with Black Mask's plans, so the mob boss retaliates by placing a 50 million dollar bounty on Batman's head, which a number of assassins like Killer Croc, Deathstroke, Bane, Deadshot, and others are all too happy to collect
    • The boss battles and other encounters with classic Batman villains are also quite fun, and a couple are rather challenging, although some are reminiscent of certain battles and encounters from previous games
    • bosses to hard to beat deathstroke is a cheater he does not take damage from batmans punches the game is not fair batman is supposed to have the advantage not a fun game
    • As much as I enjoy Batman generally, and the Arkham games specifically, I am disappointed to say that I cannot recommend that anyone purchase this game.
    • I JUST LOVE BATMAN
    • I love batman and it held up to the first game
    • I will say that I enjoyed Batman: Arkham City more, but this game is still fun, fun, fun
    • This a very fun batman video game
    • I just preferred it if Batman understood this instead of snapping Trust me
    • While still formulaic they give you that up-close and personal hand-to-hand combat feeling that should be expected given the nature of the characters (Deathstroke, for example)The story is somewhat darker, showing a brutal, angrier Batman more in line with the Dark Knight trilogy then the refined veteran of the previous titles
    • I just don't feel like there is one way to play a perfect Batman
    • both were great batman games 9/10 & 10/10
    • This is the Best Batman game currently to purchase besides the other Batman Arkham titles.
    • But this younger more arrogant Batman makes for a much more interesting and very believable character
    • About halfway through the campaign, Batman will don the bulky and totally awesome looking XE (Extreme Environment) Suit to help protect him from the extreme cold conditions normally associated with Mr. Freeze
    • The first impression of the game is that the graphics are softer and not as crisp as the Black Gate prison has boring corridors and the lighting gives Batman a funny soft glow that makes the graphics look sub-par by comparison to Arkham City.
    • But you cant use these upgrades because you havent beaten a mini boss that doesnt show up till the last 25% of the game.-4 snipers on completely different rooftops, 2 of them have several different armed men, 3 of them are all aiming at each other, huge open space to get to them (center of diamond district), they all respawn the second you leave to a neighboring district, they all magically know where you are as soon as you enter their area, and one of them is on a roof with a sign that batman gets stuck on-like bane
    • The enemies Batman faces are the same as in the main game, mostly thugs with knives, body armor, and shields, though there are the occasional brutes and martial artists
    • They actually prohibit you, as in stop Batman and turn him around.
    • He enjoyed the previous Batman
    • If you love Batman, you'll love Arkham Origins.
    • I love Batman, and I love this game too, just as great as the first two games were.
    • Once again A Batman Arkham game that rocks just as good if not better than the two previous entrees in the series
    • arkham was a asylum on a island if your not a batman fan its like this
    • I love Batman and with this game it's like when you have some frustration and you need to release it some way
    • Never knew he could handle the computer so well and reconfigure Batman's map and give him tactical advice
    • You can even have Batman fast travel to the Batcave at almost any time to get some practice in the challenge rooms, change his costume, or even chat with Alfred
    • However, if you love Batman (and I mean outside of Nolan's recent trilogy), you'll appreciate the lengths the game goes to in an effort to get inside Batman's head as well as the psyche of Joker
    • Black Mask has hired a bunch of Assassins to hunt down and kill Batman
    • I should also mention that, being that there are 8 assasins after you, including a few other well-known batman villans (like the mad hatter :D), makes for lots of epic boss battles and cinematics that makes a batman fan's jaw drop in awe at batman's AWESOMENESS!!
    • Origins is one of the most exciting and fun single player experiences I've had in my life, and it is by far, the best Batman game on the Arkham series (so far)
    • My biggest initial gripe was the sound effects of combat which have been dialed down significantly; if you played Arkham City you knew how satisfying and crushing it sounded when Batman took out an enemy
    • It feels like a GREAT compilation of all my favorite Batman things
    • So to close, If you are a hardcore Batman fan like myself, You will probably like this game
    • Batman has devoted his life to protect the innocent and you rarely see any of them, Even Arkham City (an enormous Prison) had innocent Political Prisoners crying out for help
    • All in all, it is another great Batman game.
    • If you loved Arkham City and Batman lore enough to cruise through another 15 hour story, you should pick this up
    • so if you're looking for a good batman adventure this game does not disappoint.
    • I love Batman
    • Now I understand that the Joker is a big draw, and Batman's primary foe - but come on
    • If you haven't played Arkham Asylum or Arkham City then go pick those up instead as they're the superior Batman games in story, game design, sound and graphics.
    • One of my favorite Batman skins
    • Put me in the camp of those who believe that this is a more than worthy follow-up to the stellar Batman games that came before
    • I love Batman and the Arkham series, although not as fun as God of War (just personal preference), was tons of fun to play with great story lines and action sequences.
    • You really don't need to play this game unless you want to see a ruthless Batman otherwise leave this game for another day.
    • It's a amazing open world batman game for all gamers alike playstation and Xbox and pc
    • Crooks around Gotham think that the Batman is a myth, an urban legend
    • Batman Arkham Asylum released in 2009 and blew gamers away when they saw that it was not only a good game but a fantastic game, two years later the sequel Batman Arkham City was released and once again blew gamers away by being better than the first game
    • Like Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, this Batman Arkham Origins is Wonderful.
    • But this game LOVES Batman, and it's the closest you will get to being the Caped Crusader in a video game
    • I loved all the gadgets and Batman's fight style.
    • Plus BatMan is the greatest hero of all time
    • Starting with a prison break at Blackgate, Batman must confront a whole city full of criminals as well as a cadre of assassins hired to kill him
    • you want another great batman game and another great batman story with the most bad*ss batman known to mankind who has cool gadgets and the most intimidating presence pick this baby up
    • One of the best batman games ever made in histroy of gaming it has a epic story mode it's online
    • The crime scene investigations were a nice addition and fit Batman well
    • Arkham Origins is supposed to be about a young, inexperienced Batman who doesn't even know Commissioner Gordon yet, but somehow Bane and Blackmask already have vendettas against Batman, and Batman already has the same gadgets and fighting skills as he has later on, even though we saw him build some of those gadgets in Arkham City
    • It seems Warner Brothers had just totally fumbled how Batman met the Joker and found out about how the Joker operates and how extreme the Joker is compared to Black Mask, Penguin, etc.
    • Nonetheless, it still has the great batman action that has come to redefine a franchise and the video game industry.
    • And that brings me to the last point, you also get to meet black mask, the Falcones mobsters, a girl from the league of assasins, and a more nagging version of Alfred who treats Batman like a two year old, which he is (game takes place two years after he decides to be batman).PD
    • Gone is the fluidity of the Rocksteady versions; this Batman is herky-jerky in comparison, and the controls have been changed for no apparent reason so that the quick batarang and detective view use each others' buttons
    • Best Batman game yet in my opinion
    • you want another great batman game and another great batman story with the most bad*ss batman known to mankind who has cool gadgets and the most intimidating presence pick this baby up
    • Batman's limitations
    • Two years later, Batman Arkham: City gave us a sequel that gave more, was bigger and in many ways better by freeing Batman into a huge open section of the city of Gotham--and still managed to be a very integrate level design.
    • The Best Batman
    • it would be a great batman game if the controll selection for killing deathstroke wasnt so ridiculously fast and so repetitive
    • The game play as well as this big bulky looking Batman just doesn't do it for me.
    • Like before, Batman can use his Detective Mode to scan for evidence like blood samples and bullet trajectories, only now he can virtually recreate the crime with his Detective Mode, rewinding and fast forwarding the footage to find even more previously unseen clues
    • I love Batman and the Arkham series, although not as fun as God of War (just personal preference), was tons of fun to play with great story lines and action sequences.
    • Enemies seem to have been sped up or Batman has been slowed down which interferes with the smooth flowing system Rocksteady created
    • Nonetheless the gameplay mechanics is pretty much the same as the previous games but with more pure batman awesomeness
    • Batman is fun
    • Now Roger Craig Smith does a phenomenal job as Batman
    • : I love Batman's new look
    • I am at 24% and Batman is "stuck", falling in an endless hole
    • To think that Batman, in only his second year, can take on Slade and knock him out like any other member of his rogues gallery is BS of the highest order
    • Overall, they get a solid B+ in Rocksteady's School of Gaming
    • Granted there is a different voice cast, and yes if you love Mark Hamill as the joker & Kevin Conroy as B-Man you can tell and its sad they didn't do this game, however the voice cast did an amazing job in this game
    • It is clear that plenty of effort went into making the story and gameplay come together, as well as into the fantastic voice acting and scoring
    • take on all of these characters that we all grew up loving, as well as it's dark and mature story
    • The cut scenes and story line was as impressive and entertaining as you can imagine, the voice actors do very admirable jobs, living up to the franchise standard set by the likes of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill.
    • The combat system is virtually unchanged from previous Arkham games, but for some reason, the controls just don't feel as perfect as before
    • He is in your sights, here comes batman gliding at you as fast as he can...who is gonna win!
    • First off, Batman can travel around the city just as well as he could before by gliding and using his grapnel gun to zip himself to ledges and rooftops
    • If you liked the first 2 games and want more then this is it, its just not as great as it could have been.
    • The story didn't have a sense of urgency and many elements felt like reheated leftovers from a really good meal...not bad, but not as good as when it was fresh
    • Countering more than one enemy is also improved as it requires you to press the counter button once for each enemy you are engaging
    • Some of the controls were changed, and I should have known I was in trouble as you can't improve on perfection.
    • It is clear that plenty of effort went into making the story and gameplay come together, as well as into the fantastic voice acting and scoring
