That being said, the gameplay is still exceptional, and as good as Arkham City

Arkham City was virtually flawless in my eyes whereas there are flaws in Origins, and they are pretty glaring

No more Riddler stuff, no more Bane, no more Joker, no more city-as-prison, no more winter weather

While its combat and travel is repetitive and Arkham City-ish, the story is absolutely enthralling, and the gameplay is still entertaining in this new setting.

A must have for everyone who enjoyed Arkham City

If you liked Arkham City, and you're okay with more of the same, this is an excellent game

But if you are just gamer, Arkham City is much better than this

The city was so trashed in AC that it's kind of neat to see it in AO before whatever apocalypse came along and tore it up

No where near as good as "Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City" were

That doesn't make it any easier for our lovable anti-hero when he already has a city full of assassins sent to kill him for a ridiculously high bounty

Then l didn't know (nor did the other 8 people who each put down a fin) that our babys alma mater wasn't doing a trifecta, but another company took over the reigns, and this one feels like a dead city.

Though not a 5 star game like Batman: Arkham City, this one is still a really good Batman game

Arkham City improved on this successful recipe by opening up gameplay to the expanse "City of Arkham".

Also, the extra costumes that you get in this game are not as good as the arkham city costumes

If you liked/loved Arkham City, you should love this game as well

Starting with a prison break at Blackgate, Batman must confront a whole city full of criminals as well as a cadre of assassins hired to kill him

The devs did create an awesome Gotham city.

The story isn't nearly as strong as Akrham City, but it is still very enjoyable

Arkham City also begs the question, "Why is everything in here blown up and ruined?" and we get answers to that too.

First: I loved Arkham Asylum and Arkham City

Arkham City is still our favorite thus far

The two myths of this series are that Arkham City was identical to Arkham Asylum but with a bigger playing field (in fact it was improved in any number of ways) and that Arkham Origins is essentially an unimaginative expansion pack to Arkham City.

Arkham City was great, but the city design was memorable not for being a take on the real Gotham, but for being an intriguing iteration of the environment we expected--it was a city turned into a half-apocalyptic prison sector, with the giant Wonder Tower observing everything from above

No where near as good as Arkham City

The area of Old Gotham that made up Arkham City in the titular game (before it fell into disrepair) makes up the northern portion of the map

Arkham Origins was announced, the producers touted that players would finally get to play in Gotham City proper

The graphics seem to not be as smooth, the controls don't react as smoothly, and the music isn't as fantastic as the previous Arkham City game

and yes, it uses a large portion of the map from Arkham City (thank goodness).I'll be honest

Its not as good a game as arkham city but its probably as good as arkham asylum

If you loved Arkham City and Batman lore enough to cruise through another 15 hour story, you should pick this up

Arkham City had a reason for having just criminals ( and a few people needing to be saved) but in this game there is no reason for not saving anybody, criminals should be breaking into homes or people should be trying to escape from the criminals that broke into there homes

I've been gliding across this city for a few hours and yet to see a single resident of this "vibrant" city except for thugs, villains, corrupt police, and the signature characters of the franchise.

While it may not top the masterpiece that is 2011's Arkham City, it's never the less a worthy sequel

If you like Arkham city you will love this game.

It's a two part fight that borrows elements from the boss battle against Mr. Freeze in Arkham City combined with the predator encounters against Deadshot and Black Mask in the main game of Arkham Origins

Similarly, if you've never played Arkham City, this will feel new and fresh, and you should pick this up (though you might consider the better and cheaper Arkham City instead)

Now we have the prequel ARKHAM ORIGINS, which gives us a bit of a YEAR ONE approach to this franchise, and while it's not as good as ARKHAM CITY, it's still an incredibly well-done game

You meet several criminals the first time around and while this does have some interesting storyline to it as well the city is the disappointment to me

in origins arkham is gotham city and its condition as a city is worse off than the first 2 games combined no innocent

The city feels lifeless like everybody went out of town for the holidays

so there isn't quite as much detail and of coarse the city is all criminals with few random citizens on the street

It seems just as deep as Arkham Asylum, and just as expansive as Arkham City

is one of the little islands connecting so arkham was never a city until after the asylum fell so the whole island therefore became a prison or city

I got this game in hopes that it would be a bigger, more refined arkham city
